This is a short film we initiated. The film features a serpentine gown we made in collaboration with jeweller Tessa Blazey, consisting of thousands of laser cut and hand painted acetate diamonds that have been meticulously reconstructed into a kind of diaphanous chain armour. The gown is worn by Monty Montan, lead singer of Midnite Bosom, who perform their debut single ‘Your Lips Taste Like Sugar’. Also featuring key contributions from Douglas Brook (director), and Hugh Peachey (Director of Photography), the film pays homage to the jazz club scene in David Lynch’s iconic Blue Velvet. This project would also not have been possible without a plethora of other talented and passionate contributors who worked tirelessly to bring this together. Full credits on the youtube page.
