Growing Pains

The young lord bit his lip, not daring to meet the eyes of any of the male servants as he made his way to his room, not even the ones he'd known since birth. It was nothing they had did, of course not. It was him that was the problem. The closer he came to his majority, the more odd feelings welled within him. Ellith didn't interest him. Any time he stared at them he felt nothing. Ellyn were a different story. He knew it wasn't normal. He knew he wasn't supposed to feel this way towards other ellyn. What would his mother say if she knew? His father? Elrohir? It was terrifying.

He'd refused his male servants this morning, and requested female servants for this evening instead. Elladan hoped he hadn't requested too late. He knew he was acting odd, and he was sure that at least the servants could tell, no matter how desperately he tried to hide it. Perhaps if he were around more ellith he would feel something, anything for them. A knock sounded at the door and he jumped slightly. He frowned at himself for being so ridiculous. "You may enter."
