“Dressing in drag is a liberating experience. I had to do it for the film Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert and got told I had good legs for the first time ever. The high heels were the worst bit as they were all too small. I went out in Sydney in full drag during filming – the director claims I tried to chat up a girl while I was dressed as a drag queen, but I think he made that up – although I was too drunk to remember.”
