Future Cal goes through twink death and gains weight because of antidepressant meds. He basically loses the pretty privilege he had all of his life until now because of this and the opposite happens to Andre. He grew into his looks, started lifting heavy, and suddenly he's getting all of the attention and being flirted with by strangers when he goes out. Cal doesn't know how to be the "average" one and being treated like a normal person hits him like a brick.

Andre still sees Cal the same way he saw him in high school.
