i had a dream that was like one of those 'everything you think you know about history is wrong' posts on here? and it was like some authority figure came and told me that Javert was a historical person and actually a good guy and helped the poor and that his enemies got hugo to write this defamation of character against him and give all his good qualities to some other character. and i was like 'that would have been more interesting if they'd told the real story' and i woke up so confused

omg That would be SUPER confusing, since Hugo was usually way less subtle when he was dragging someone XD
