In the early morning she woke up alone in the forest. Her whole body hurt. She had scratches, lacerations and bite wounds.
She dimly remembered the monster.
With difficulty, she scrambled to her feet and the world around her began a roller coaster ride.
Her face felt numb and she was foaming at the mouth.
She staggered through the woods until she finally came to a red-brick building where ledges went in and out. It appeared to be a public building. Moonwood Mill Library was written on the sign at the entrance.
Taking a deep breath, she walked on, just following the other Sims.
No one took notice of her.
Thanks to the watcher, she found a toilet with a shower.
Freshly showered and the clock struck 8. Since she lived in a simulation, she was teleported to high school.
The other teenagers seemed to know her, they greeted her kindly and called her Grace.
Was that her name? Grace.
Somehow, the name felt familiar.
During the lunch break there was this brown-haired girl, the others called her Anne. She looked at Grace stunned.
Anne: "Where have you been? We were worried."
Grace didn't know what to answer. Her memories mixed with her nightmares and so reality could no longer distinguish from the dream. "Moonwood Mill Library", she murmured softly. "I should learn."
Shaking her head, Anne got up and walked away.
A short time later, a cell phone rang in Ciudad Enamorada.
Bishop: "Anne, what's going on?"
Anne: "Dad, Grace is here at school. She's hurt and I don't think she recognizes me. She mumbled something about a library called Moonwood Mill."
Bishop: "Thank you, Anne. Stay tuned to her. I let Aunt Clementine and Katharina know. Get in touch as soon as she leaves school."
Anne: "I'll do it. Dad, she's so confused and disoriented. I'm afraid."
Bishop: "I understand you, but everything will be fine."
After Bishop informing Clementine of Anne's call, she immediately teleported with Kolamano to the Moonwood Mill library.
Kolamano: "Do you feel that?"
She looked at him questioningly.
He smiled. "Every occult being leaves a kind of aura in the atmosphere. Werewolves are driven by anger and when they leave, they leave behind a tiny part of this anger. The atmosphere in this small, abandoned place in the middle of nowhere is charged, the tension almost tangible."
Clementine: "Werewolves!? Here?!"
Clementine: "But that's the solution to the vampire problem."
Kolamano: "Maybe. It's a hope." He looked at her and felt his unconditional love for her again. It overwhelmed him. "I love you." He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to him. For a moment he was allowed to show the love he felt for her. He kissed her. A kiss that should never end.
Katharina arrived and Kolamano left.
Katharina: "Hello, do you really think she's coming here?"
Clementine: "We'll see soon."
In fact, it didn't take long for Grace to teleport in front of the library.
Clementine: "Thanks to the Watcher."
Grace looked at the two women in shock. What did they want from her? How did these women know her? Friend or foe? Her instinct told her she had to disappear immediately.
Clementine immediately saw the panic in Grace's eyes and knew that she didn't recognize her family. It was like the two Sages, a while ago. A piercing pain ran through her heart. "It's all right, Grace. We will wait for you here every day until you are ready."
Grace lost no more time and ran away.
Katharina wanted to run after her, but Clementine held her back. "But she is injured. We can't just ..."
Clementine: "Katharina, we have to, no matter how difficult it is. Grace was stripped of any memory of us and of herself. Her body is healing, let's hope her soul and spirit will heal as well."
