Tristan hasn’t had much time to shine as a father to his tripelets. To be fair, he didn’t know they existed until they were already 16 years old. He’ll never fully be able to forgive Aubree for running away, and he sometimes is wistful for what could have been. But, things happened the way they did for a reason. 

Since coming back into Rory, Kim, and Graces lived he’s at least made headway with two of them. Kim was quick to accept him as a father figure and she is the closest to him by far. It helps that she would come over to bond with her younger half-sister when she was born. Rory has warmed to him slowly. Tristan was able to secure Rory a spot in the Biology program he was in, in Selvadorada. And well. Grace barely acknowledges he exists. What can you do.

Where Tristan’s relationships with his eldest children can be rocky, his youngest is his best friend. Lydia has her dad wrapped around her finger, but he doesn’t care. He’s beyond grateful that he isn’t missing out on these years with her. Lydia helped bring Rory closer to his dad since she thinks Rory is the coolest older brother ever. She is shaping up to be an incredible young woman, and Tristan is so proud. Of all of them.
