The canon LGBT+ character of today is:
Grace Martin from Life Size 2: A Christmas Eve who is bisexual
@gracmartn
The last person he’d expected to see was her, the last time he’d run into Grace having been their coinciding birthday celebrations. He’d protected her, unexplained of course considering he’d walked away before she could question him too much. His behaviour was erratic, impulsive, dismissive. Ash thought it better to let the brunette believe the persona he’d put on and all the ideas she’s conjured from his behaviour than speak the truth. His aversion to giving her a true reason and an explanation she deserved stemmed from his inability to speak about his heartbreak. As he watched her a few feet away now, his somewhat buzzed self knew that he had to walk away now, before she spotted him. Before she could question him, before she could break the truth. Sure, he knew he couldn’t avoid her forever, but he could try. And that’s when Asher stood, attempting to weave himself through the crowd in hopes of disappearing altogether.
✧ NAME: Grace Martin ✧ AGE: 24 ✧ GENDER: Female ✧ LOCATION: CBD ✧ TIME IN NOLA: 1 year and 6 months ✧ OCCUPATION: Baker at Bake It Pretty
A world filled with brand names, shoes not made for walking, and jewelry so expensive they’d need their own insurance— who could complain? This was the kind of life Beatrice Hanson and Charles Martin sought for, even in their early years. They had emerged from a below average life, often the victims of debt thanks to the irresponsible decisions of their own parents. It is no wonder Beatrice and Charles had found each other on their own journeys of discovery, finding that they needed one another to rise to the top. So, one might question… was it love? Was it out of convenience? Grace isn’t sure if the two melted together, as one seemed so vastly different from the other. Perhaps it was at this stage, the raw age of five, when she had realized that a love normally displayed, was not shared in the Martin home.
The socialite culture had been sown deeply into her skin, the brunette had no inclination that genuine acts from one human to another existed. Someone always wanted something and someone was always being used. In fact, this was normal amongst the wealthy of New Castle, Washington… ( or the wealthy in general ). Her group of friends weren’t the worst, but were often the movers of setting trends and establishing self-importance; they only wanted the best of the best surrounding them. One might think, their tight-knit group held some sort of bond— that their ‘friendship’ could withstand any kind of push or pull. However, Grace realized, when push came to shove, it was all about survival of the fittest.
While Grace hadn’t ever been the type to involve herself in the mishegoss of their activities, the brunette hadn’t exactly been in the clear, as she often stood by and watched the aftermath of her friend’s chaotic decisions. It seemed as though, during her senior year of high school, she wouldn’t be sitting by, but the key player in getting them all to graduate. It’s needless to say, but Grace’s group of friends didn’t play by the rules, at all. They cheated their way through school and seemed to be getting by just fine until their favorite calculus professor had been swapped out for another. Their new teacher was more than tough. He wasn’t fooled by any of the bribes the boys offered, or the legs of the girls they flashed to get a passing grade. Instead, it was Grace that he, strangely, had an eye for.
The girls made their backhanded remarks about Grace but came to their senses quickly as finals were creeping around the corner. She was reluctant to follow in her friend’s footsteps, aware that feeding their teacher’s wandering eye could ruin both of their lives. However, it was the heavy persuasion of her childhood friends that prompted her to heighten her uniformed skirt during her solo study sessions with him, that eventually led to a secret teacher and student relationship that lasted for the rest of the year. All six of them walked across the stage with flying colors, and while most of the flirtationships between the teachers and her friends died soon after, Grace’s relationship didn’t. The relationship went on for two more months until she couldn’t take it anymore, unable to go on about pretending she was in love when she wasn’t. Evidently, they were no help at all and lazily suggested to file a restraining order instead of the obvious option: breaking up. It took all of her to not fall for the easy way out and faced him on one Sunday afternoon, ending things on a bitter note.
After high school, Grace went on to culinary school to fulfill her dreams as a pastry chef, whilst desiring to achieve cooking a basic three-course meal, sure to impress anyone. Her first year went smoothly, and the brunette passed without having to cheat her way through.. –somewhat– cleaning out her guilty conscience from her high school years. However, Grace quickly learned that what goes around comes around, and karma was quick to bite her in the ass. Ending things on a bitter note with her teacher came back to light, when a rumor had spread amongst the town that there were students in her year that used teachers to get what they wanted. Terrified of being outed, Grace reached out to her friends who began to vaguely drop her name in hopes of averting the attention away from themselves. In a state of panic, Grace packed all she knew into a few suitcases and fled the state, adamant about never looking back.
The girl is a dreamer, under all her constant worry and self-doubt. She often dreams big despite keeping tight-lipped about her aspirations. It was often due to being the more ‘quiet’ one of her group that she hadn’t been so used to talking about herself. It wasn’t until her relationship with her calculus teacher that Grace had truly blossomed into a more confident person. Sure, while the relationship was mostly forced and screwed with her ideals of love and worthiness, Grace realized a few facts about the life she knew she wouldn’t learn without him. Her teacher wasn’t cruel nor unusual but took their private time to not only explore various intimacies but to open her youthful eyes to the substance of life. He was sensitive and wise, and Grace knew, if there were any person in the world to truly care for her, it’d be him… despite the lies and cruel intentions. Because of him, Grace discovered her independence, that hugely aided her big move to New Orleans. While trust issues seemed to find its way into her luggage, Grace has other flaws too. If it wasn’t obvious, the girl runs away from any type of confrontation— even to the extent of literally running away. Still, there are a few light points as well. She’s clumsy and has a knack for rambling when she’s nervous, and slightly dramatic if the situation calls for it. She’s a little bit odd, extremely gullible, and favors a good laugh every now and again, usually known to be the type to smile, always.
GRACE’S FACECLAIM IS LOGAN BROWNING AND IS PORTRAYED BY SYDNEY.

Birthdays. They were supposed to be a fun event. It was sad ‘cause they weren’t something he liked to celebrate anymore. The past few years had been ridden with Asher losing himself in his grief; so much so, he fell out of being the egotistical self he used to be — where he loved being the centre of attention. Now, it was all about wallowing in self pity, keeping himself hidden away. Unfortunately for him, the guy had made a few friends around town in the past year, and, well they weren’t letting him ‘celebrate’ alone. “Alright, alright.. get me a scotch. Next round’s on me,” he insisted, caving to one of his mate’s requests as they meandered towards the closest bar. “I just love celebrating at my workplace for my birthday,” he later grumbled to his other friend, rolling his eyes purposely before scanning the room. “Gonna have to get me fucked up to get through this.” Saturday nights at Bourbon Heat were all the rage, apparently, with the place packed full of bodies. But as his gaze landed on one person in particular, utter distaste and frustration instantly flowed through his core, causing him to clench his jaw. “Ugh, you’ve got to be kidding me.”

It had been a good two weeks since New Year’s, and more importantly, since he’d last seen Grace during their.. well, fiasco. In the meantime he’d managed to somewhat make amends with Juliet, stressing the fact that she’d been so distraught over catching them together. Nonetheless, the last thing the blond wanted was to lose Grace’s friendship, or to allow any awkwardness to distance them. Sure, they’d consumed themselves in sudden desire and attraction that night, but he didn’t want to lose what he had with the brunette. And what better way to make amends for their lack of communication/addressing that evening than rocking up at her front door with a bag full of Chinese food, a bottle of wine in the other hand. Sunglasses on — he hadn’t exactly had a sober night — Asher knocks on the door, a cheesy grin forming on his features when the door opens. “Hey, hey.”
Lydia telling Grace that she’s a banshee.
