say it to my face, madison beer
Sweat was cooling on his body, his shirt sticking to him, and he wondered, not idly, if eventually the dreams would kill him. He had tried everything to stop themâsleeping pills and potions, runes of sleep and runes of peace and healing. Nothing worked.
â City of Fallen Angels, Chapter 3
     After Eden found out about her adoption, wondering what her life might have been became a big habit. The thing that brought that to a halt without fail, was the reminder that she wouldnât have some really important people in her life. People who have become like another family, who she is more grateful for than they could know.
Indiana Harper â portrayed by Nina Dobrev
From day one, offering words of encouragement to ease a young Edenâs pre-recital nerves, Indiana has been one of her greatest supportersâjust as she has tried to be in return. As they got older their concerns were more in line with things like moving to a new city miles from home, or dealing with hardships within their family. Still, no matter what, there has never been a doubt they each would be there to offer a hand to hold or shoulder to lean on.
Charlotte Lexington â portrayed by Candice King
Her human embodiment of a ray of sunshine. Charlotte has held that special place in Edenâs heart for a long time, something about the blonde making the brunette feel warm and at home. That likely being the very reason sheâs always been just a bit more protective of her in particular. Which is saying something considering how guarded Eden can get about those she loves when they show signs of being upset or in trouble.
Asher King â portrayed by Dominic Sherwood
The night they met Eden believed she had a good read on the blond judging on the way he carried himself. Luckily for her, she gave Asher the benefit of the doubt, as he turned out to be one of her favorite surprises. Being very amendment her whole life that she could take care of herself, she never wouldâve thought sheâd find herself welcoming his protective nature toward her with open arms.

           Grace never wanted to be that girlâ especially at a party filled with people she knew. However, in cases where she hardly knew anyone except for a select few, the brunette allowed herself to get a little more drunk that she normally would. Tonight, Asher and Graceâ as well as their mutual friends (who were dating, by the way) had decided to attend a party at a random bar in Mid City. It was a refreshing change of scenery since they were usually hitting up Bourbon Heat, as well as a new set of people to get to know. However, after a few hours in, Grace couldnât help how abnormally rude and touchy everyone had been. Was it the bar itself? Missyâs other set of friends? Whatever the case may be, Grace found herself glaring at a particular blonde as she downed three shots along with her martini, who had been making bedroom eyes at Asher all night. Sitting next to him, Grace swivelled in her stool and crossed her legs, making sure the length of her skirt shortened excessively, and that she could see it. She places her hand on his, straightening her back as she closes the space between them. âIâd hate to be that girl, Ash⊠but if you keep making bedroom eyes at the blonde over there, Iâm going to gauge out your own and feed them to Indianaâs cat, okay?â She says âsweetlyâ and leans in further with a pressed grin, lips grazing against the top of his ear. âIâd be damned if those eyes scan anyone else besides myself. Which means youâre taking me home tonight, no questions asked.â Perhapsâ it shouldâve been mentioned that Grace was a bit of an aggressor when he got too drunk. It was as though all thoughts and emotions were heightened to its fullest, as well as all hidden truths that have been burning within for months. In this caseâ Asher, and every inch she could take.
EMILY.
âI come here to drink, obviously, why else would I be here? Donât you guys know that you have the best tap water that this town has to offer?â she jokingly bluffed, trying her best to maintain the expression on her features, though the corners of her lips forcing itself into an upward smile. She let out a light chuckle and leaned against the countertop herself, eyeballing him. âI have no idea what youâre talking about, I thought you guys like regular customers.â
    âOh, so youâre a regular now?â Asher pursed his lips, cocking his head some to the side. âGuess thatâs a testament to my amazing bartending skills,â he teased, his naturally arrogant tendencies always easing itâs way into conversation, even jokingly. âBut yeah, we do like them except for the fact that Iâm not actually working today.. just canât seem to stay away.âÂ
EMILY.
@ashcrking.
âYou again.â Emily voiced out, recognising the blonde from behind the bar. Truth be told, she had started spending a lot more time in this particular bar, but her sober self kept ordering nothing more than just a glass of water. Even though she gained a lot of confused looks and raised brows every time she did, she wasnât about to relapse. Plus, the last encounter she had with a particular bartender didnât answer all the questions she had left and it still bothered her that she couldnât figure out who he was. âDo you ever take a day off, or do you really just love working?â she chuckled, making herself comfortable on the bar stool.
    âYou again,â Asher mirrors, that signature smirk of his appearing the instant his multicoloured eyes land upon her features. As he peered over at her, he realises sheâs still as familiar as the last time the two ran into one another, and it unnerved the hell out of him. Pressing his palms flat against the countertop, he leans forward in anticipation, intent on working it the fuck out. âWell, that depends.. do you come in here to actually drink, or just to stalk me? âCause, personally, Iâm starting to feel like itâs the latter."
my main coping mechanism is pretending like I donât care
