                                 Jey, you are my best friend in the entire world. You are just so fucking amazing. You’ve grown so wise, so kind, even after everything that you’ve gone through all those years ago. You are my biggest inspiration and you have helped me when I needed you the most. Sometimes I would push you away, and you would just go, while other times I would beg for your help and you would be there right by my side. I wasn’t always great to you, sometimes I was an absolute fucking dickhead and yet you still gave me a chance. You STILL cared about me even when I threw fits like a toddler. And for that, I am sorry.

                                 I’ve had the honor of watching you create muses for months now. If I can remember correctly we first began speaking in November or sometime near then. Since that day when we first spoke I’ve been able to see you and your muses grow just a little, day by day. I think I first followed you when you were active on mormon-marcus, and then you moved onto rebclliion, and now you have many other blogs that have sprouted from there. I’ve seen all of these characters, especially the twins, grow change and become what they are now. 

                                 Watching you create these amazing muses has been an experience and dream that no one should ever take for granted. And if anyone does take you or your friendship for granted, let me know so I know who to kill.

                                 Jokes aside this is getting too long but I really think that EVERYONE should follow you despite your twins being a goofy trope that was meant to pick fun at, and they should follow you for your overwhelming kindness of heart and soul.

                                 Thank you for being my best friend, and I hope we get to watch one another grow for years to come.

               The king cried and cried, feeling embarrassed about it for the third time that day, crying nearly six times. “B-But I-I hurted you a-a-and I-” he cut himself off with his own sob and fell forward onto Rubin’s lap. he couldn’t stop the guilt of spraining Rubin’s wrist while they were wrestling. While Dan was able to fix it smoothly, the king still felt awful that he had hurt his lover.

               The king huffed, trying to hold back tears as the pain increased with every motion. He hardly made it to the twins’ camp before collapsing in their work space. The only think he thought to do was scream, cry, and beg for the twins’s return. He hadn’t told them that he was going to hunt poachers, but he figured they would be back at their camp when he was done. Unfortunately, it looked as though they had left a while ago. Maybe they would be on their way back.

              The king took in the longest and deepest breath he could before bellowing a cry. It was nothing short of a desperate battle cry, the sound roaring through the trees and carrying for at least a mile if not more. Then he waited, tired, and ready to die where he lied.

the other woman isn't wrong. exhaustion's been set deep in jess's bones since she first woke up topside. it would be easier to count the nights where the exhaustion took over and she slept like a drooling log, but she couldn't even make a guess on that. a handful, she supposes. tonight's no exception. even though they've just finished a case, april's the first to find the blonde perched in one of the plastic lawn chairs serving as outdoor seating for the narrow strip of questionable rooms. john's journal is clutched in her hand, the cool air sending goose bumps up her arms under the thin material of her long-sleeved shirt. she can't wait for the warming temps of spring to embrace even these late hours. it's her secret favorite season, as she usually gushes about all seasons when asked.

tonight isn't racing against a clock to save someone, though she doubts she's much help with her lack of experience in figuring out what's going on in the towns plagued by the supernatural, but time on her hands means quizzing herself on the various monsters sam's dad detailed within these pages. ❝ i tried to sleep, okay? this will tire me out. didn't want to wake sam up with the tossing and turning. ❞ not all a lie, but she knows the nights she's too anxious to sleep and therefore doesn't try too hard before sneaking out to find herself something to keep busy. still, she pulls her eyes from the pages in front of her to meet april's. maybe it's a bit easier to be honest with her. ❝ i just -- feel like i have a lot of catching up to do to do to get sam to stop looking at me like i'm going to disappear if he's not holding my hand out there. ❞

it’s been maybe ten minutes of april’s voice filling the small , overheated space of his car , but jackson isn’t really counting . outside , the snow comes down in relentless , quiet sheets , swallowing the road , the gala , the whole night they were supposed to be walking into like they belong there . inside , it’s just the two of them , and the soft hum of the heater , and april spiraling in increasingly anxious loops . he watches her more than he listens —- the way her hands won’t stay still , the way her breath keeps catching on words that never quite land . she’s all sharp edges and nervous energy , a redheaded storm rattling around in his passenger seat , and somehow he feels calmer just by looking at her . ( the rest of the world is chaos ; april is the one thing that still makes sense for him . ) “ april , ” he says , voice low , almost warm enough to fog the air between them , “ hey . breathe . it’s okay . ” the words come out gentle , steady , nothing like the teasing charm he saves for donors or the easy , polished confidence he wears at the foundation . his gaze softens , lingering on her profile as if he can anchor her that way , just by refusing to look away . a small , reassuring smile pulls at his mouth —- not the perfected one he saves for board members or the practiced charm he turns on for a patient , but something smaller , almost private , like his face forgets to lie around her . it’s the kind of smile that feels like an answer he never says out loud : you’re safe , i’ve got you . and whether she realizes it or not , it’s a smile that only ever seems to exist when she’s sitting next to him .
