It's crazy how different people get through the day. For me there's always a poem rattling around in my skull, that's how I stay sane. "Ring the bells that still can ring" and "when the pawn hits the conflicts he thinks like a king" and "nothing gold can stay" and "someone must always leave first." Meanwhile my friend is like yeah yesterday was rough but they released a new fortnite skin so it was a good day :)
I don't CARE that When Marnie was There totally queerbated me. Still my favorite ghibli movie for a few reasons
1. Anna is so me. I also hated myself so bad as a little teen
2. I so BADLY wanted to do what she did and have a life changing adventure in a place where no one knew me and come home forever changed. Like SO BAD.
3. WHATEVWR studio ghibli WHATEVER you can snatch the gay away whatever. But Anna is still gay as hell. Like you can't tell me she's straight nuh uh.
So basically Anna is very me and I wish I got whisked away to a town by the water for my health and had a mysterious rich girl (who I'm NOT related to) be interested in me and then return in the autumn completely changed.
Girlhood is being on the internet too young and playing therapist to a guy you've never met who is more than twice your age
