My great #covid19 clean continues... but finishing this very last room has been difficult. I want to clean it certainly... but putting all the little pieces of my past, old photos, school awards, debate awards, playbills, keepsakes from my father and grandparents, a long with my personal files... I’ve just been dragging my feet. So today I determined must be done... and yet I still procrastinate. So I stacked all those above mentioned items in one corner and began to clean the China cabinet. Now when we first moved into the house I had a bowl of fake apples in a bowl in the middle of the table. After a few years I found another centerpiece I preferred and the bowl of apples was demoted to the China cabinet. I began to pull all the items out of the cabinet one by one to clean and return or toss. I looked at the fake apples and realized not only are too small to even pretend to be real... but it would seem Gracie thought they were just the right size for her... only to be disappointed after three tries. The great #covid19clean has been so successful, I am on the very last room in the entire house... the dinning room!!! The room that for 340+ days a year is really a catch all room. With the knowledge that the closet under the stairs for the first time, has the room to house the extra table leaf for the formal dining table. I’ve been tired all day, not sure why. Must be allergies or all of my #covid19cleaning. Regardless of the reason...nothing gets you moving faster than realizing you just stepped on a snake. Jumping with my knees and elbows going higher than my chin... it was only a small yep that escaped my mouth!!! Gracie wrangled it and took it to safety, and named him Luke!
