Sweet Rain is a jazz album by Stan Getz, released on the Verve record label in 1967.

The Allmusic review by Steve Huey states that Sweet Rain is “one of Stan Getz’s all-time greatest albums,” and “the quartet’s level of musicianship remains high on every selection, and the marvelously consistent atmosphere the album evokes places it among Getz’s very best. A surefire classic”.

@musicroomatl just asked the question, What was your favorite tune for 2020. The interesting thing about this gem is it’s been circulating in different versions, in my world the last 3 years. The original came from Grover Washington. Somehow I missed this one on vinyl before. A few weeks back I was downloading tunes from a soulful house record pool, for my new twitch series and bam! A lot of jazz, fuzed and danceable. Shedding light to not only one of the original genres in this country, but also combining the diaspora both Latin and African. #GradyTate on drums and vocals for #GroverWashingtons original and on this #CollinCurtis compilation feature.
