Delay
Negative traits can be disappointing and one of those traits is the Mañana Habit. Filipinos inherited Mañana Habit from the Spaniards. Thinking of the inherited traits to be useful especially that it came from a richer country, this only led the people especially the Filipinos to procrastinate, to cram, and to be lazy. A famous saying, “Expectations leads to disappointments” testifies the situation that Mañana Habit is not good to Filipinos.
If you have the chance to avoid being influenced by this trait, do it as much as you can, for it will only give different effects in your life. First is Procrastination. Procrastination is not a blessing, it is a distress. Why? Because it will only give you worries every time you sleep at night. Instead of having a beauty rest, you had a glimpse on your “to do list” and you ended up having loads of requirements to pass the next day.
In the process, the Second reason takes place. When you cram it causes you to pass a non-quality work paper. Perhaps if you have done it ahead of time, maybe it is much presentable than what you have to pass now. To pass a non-quality work also causes you to have low grades; there I must say that Cramming is a burden.
The Third reason is the worse, when you become lazy. Laziness delays your progression because it forces you to do nothing. You only lay on your bed or sit and watch the shows on your television. Forgetting to study for your quiz the next day, will bring you to a worse situation; which is failing your exams or even the particular subject.
In Conclusion, A negative trait can be a domino to include many other negative traits. One can be an effect to cause another to occur. Thinking of a negative trait that causes the people to procrastinate, to cram and be lazy makes you think of the trait mentioned. Thus, Mañana Habit is not good to Filipinos.
