It was stifling sometimes, to be so cooped up sometimes. Especially when she’d spent the majority of her life cooped up in that stuffy castle. It was far too big and empty for her tastes. It was a perfect day outside too, it’d be a waste to spend it indoors.

“Rider,” she called out, hopping up from her seat, “would you accompany me somewhere? There’s a cafe I’d like to try out.” A special cheat just for today.

“Ah, Rider, how are you fairing this day?“ She offered a humble greeting, her hand raised slightly in a wave. “Thought I might say hello, since you’re here as well.“

Her eyes widened as her gaze landed on the other Servant, an expression of delight blooming on her face. Sure, it was what was on the inside that mattered most of all, but the pharaoh couldn’t help but get excited when she came across something beautiful. It was her hobby. Especially knowing how far things like make-up had advanced since the time she was alive. 

“You there, do you have a moment?” she asked, hurrying over to the other woman. “Your hair looks so smooth and soft... I have to wonder, do you have a routine for it? Would you mind sharing?” 

She caught herself, trailing off abruptly before clearing her throat. “Pardon my manners, I tend to lose myself when I get excited..”

This was going to get some getting used to, but Marie was glad to have come. Finally a chance to wear that dress her mother had sent her for her birthday, and she couldn’t think if a better time to wear it than this one.

Their gracious host had told them to enjoy themselves, and she was going to do just that. Taking a glass of the nearest table, she poured herself just the teeniest bit of champagne. The night was only just getting started so best to start slow. 

It was then when she noticed another guest of by themselves, and with a small smile, she went to greet them. “There’s a lot of people here right now, isn’t there?”
