Bridal x Tech: First Class Sound with Grain Audio!
When it comes to finding the perfect gifts for a bridal registry or for your wedding party, the task can be daunting. You want something that fits the receiver’s personality but it needs to be truly useful as well. Nowadays, more and more bridal registries or wedding party gifts are skewing towards the tech world. Whether it’s the bride, groom or their respective party mates, everyone loves tech gear! And nothing goes hand in hand with tech like premiere headphones.
Whether you prefer in-ears or over-ears, quality headphones are a must. Especially for those of us who travel often or have lengthy daily commutes, you want to listen to your tunes or watch your shows with ample, lush sound. So, when the team at Grain Audio offered to let me try out a pair of their OEHPs (over ear headphones), I was only too happy to give them a try.
First things first, the minimalist color scheme elevates your look from chasing the trendiest “match my outfit” pair of headphones and brings the focus back where it belongs - on the sound quality. I personally really enjoyed the sleek walnut wood that accents the charcoal gray cushioned cups and headband. These are also true over-ear cups, making them extremely comfortable for long haul flights or subway commutes when you need to drown out noisy travelers. If you’re a real audiophile, the OEHP also comes with a 1/4″ adapter jack which can plug into more serious sound gear like say...a DJ mixer. And these headphones are compatible with your smart phone as they offer an in-line mic and remote.
Now to the actual sound quality. Considering that it’s competitively priced to more trend oriented brands like Sol Republic or Beats, Grain Audio offers true clarity in sound. You can actually hear individual instruments in a song. If you’re used to bass heavy headphones, the OEHPs might feel a little empty unless you make the necessary adjustments on your music player. To be honest, I love bass and I love my 808s so that was the only thing missing for me with the Grain Audio headphones. And although it’s not billed as noise cancelling, these headphones do a pretty good job of drowning out engine noise on a flight or “It’s Showtime” on the subway.
In short, I highly recommend these goodies for my destination bridal couples and their upcoming flights to their wedding or honeymoon. For more information on Grain Audio and where to buy, visit www.GrainAudio.com or follow them on Twitter @GrainAudioPres
