I'm curious: Do you have an OC that belongs to you or a story you wrote yourself? If so, could you tell me a little about it?
Oh, certainly. I’m a hobbyist writer (if not a very productive one) FAR more than I’m a visual artist*. I have written several short stories and posted them elsewhere on the internet.
Any by “elsewhere” I mean a video game forum. It’s complicated. Awesome community, though.
That said, I am, so far, not entirely sure how I feel about Tumblr as an online culture. Back when I had Reddit (which I was very, very active on) I pretty firmly decided that I’d never share my work there because, quite frankly, Reddit is full of disgusting degenerates. Seriously, Sir Needle’s court jester animation got Jinx posted to r/TopCharacterDesigns (or whatever it’s called), and the comments were… I imagine you can put two and two together. Gross.
Anyways, Tumblr doesn’t strike me as quite as bad (the NSFW limitations certainly help), but as it stands I’m apprehensive to share my own work too much lest the wrong kind of person/people stumble upon it with malicious intent. The reblog feature seems dangerous in this regard, what with how anyone can share anything from anywhere amongst any group of people.
But to answer the question properly, yes, I have written about several characters across several settings - most of which are actively related to each other. A common theme amongst them is being greater than humanity in some fashion - I’m something of a misanthrope, after all. This ranges anywhere from immortal war machines that have to find their place in a world too small for them and in which they’re obsolete for their original purpose, to flat-out technological gods which have nowhere else to progress and so spend their existence travelling the Greater Multiverse (i.e. everything) looking for novelties and false challenges.
I’ve written some thousands of words worth of short stories (somewhere between 20-30k I want to say), but a number of these are still pending editing and feedback. I hate editing with all my being.
It remains to be seen if I’ll ever share much here. Maybe, maybe not. It depends how comfortable I am with this site.

*This is made obvious by my character designs, which are usually quite simple beyond perhaps mechanical complexity. Basically, drawing many of them would be more of an engineering challenge than an artistic one, mechanical skills required aside.
