I love this 1953 Smith-Corona Skyriter which belonged to a lady who worked her entire life for Smit-Corona in Syracuse, NY. She bought this when she was 30 years old and kept it for the next 58 years until she passed away at 88. I often wonder what was so special about this machine that made her purchase it inin the first place and keep it for 58 years. What did she write on it? A friend gave me this 1957 Smith-Corona Silent-Supernin Alpine blue as a birthday present. It was found in a Goodwill store in Florida and needed a lot of work, but it came out nice! It’s a keeper! Faith in humanity. A few moths back, a lady contacted me online and said she wanted to purchase a typewriter for her 8 year old daughter. The woman herself has some serious health issues and was on a pretty tight budget. So I prepared a beautiful 1950's Smith-Corona Silent and sent it off with a letter explaining to her I wanted no money but this was a gift from me to her and her daughter.
