hi gina! idk if you’ll see this cause it seems you get hundreds of anons but i try not to be intimidated so im here after watching cosmicleeds 2023 timeline and ive only ever heard about larry in passing and people making fun of them so i was surprised to see louis kind of defended harry after his grammy speech? cosmicleeds included an excerpt where he was asked and my q is…. why was he even asked in the first place?? that’s kind of interesting. what were your thoughts when that went down?

Hi, love. I think the guys are often asked about each other (although Harry seems to have much stricter rules about being asked about 1D).

The interview where he spoke about H took place not long after Harry was ridiculed for his Grammys acceptance speech. It was news at the time, so it wasn’t really shocking that Louis was asked. Also, Harry’s name just brings readers So that might have been part of the reason they brought him up.

When Styles won his Grammy awards this month — he collected two and won four Brits — he used his acceptance speech to say that “this doesn’t happen to people like me very often”. This was swiftly ridiculed across social media because of course white men tend to win quite a lot. But what he likely meant was that it doesn’t happen to the product of manufactured boy bands, many of whom have the use-by date of a pint of milk.

“Only Harry knows what he means there, it’s hard to speculate,” Tomlinson says, “but we all came from relatively humble beginnings, and now we are where we are.”

As for my thoughts, I was pissed at people’s reactions to his speech. It was so rude and childish. He really took it with grace (as usual).

But I would think Louis was pleased to be able to clear things up evens little with his comment (and probably would have given them an earful if he’d been able to).
