Little Muppet Sesame Things #26

Sesame Street including some LGBTQIA+ representation in the Family Day episode by introducing Nina's brother Dave and his family, his husband Frank and their daughter Mia. Good on Sesame for that.

Also, Granny Bird is adorable and reminds me of my Nan. She also got into the introduction by noting she's a hugger, and gives Frank a hug.

I went and watched the Sesame Street skit where Big Bird got vaxxed. All because bundy boo cruz lost his shit and tweeted about it. Oh, and faux news too, got in on the action. This is my youtube comment on MSNBC.

“If you think about it, aside from the obvious "fat man tweets about Big Bird", Sesame Street has done what it has always done. Used its platform to do the responsible thing, to educate and reassure children during this difficult and frightening times. Children are afraid right now, and they look to the elders and parents for reassurance and guidance; ESPECIALLY with this new vaccine we are taking. And I know some parents had reactions to the vaccine, and that would frighten children who are now up there to get their shots. But here we have mr. steroid infomercial on a tirade, because Sesame Street is doing what has approved by the government, as a nonprofit program. Educated and Reassured children. 

And I watched the whole skit, and you know what? The whole thing was a Q & A skit. It just answered common questions. Big Birds tweet was an after thing on the issue of the vaccine. ted booze lost his shit, essentially, over a Q & A skit for children and parents. He didn't know the context of Big Birds vaccine, because the fucking grown ass man with his two kids, can't do research. ted cruize is a fucking loser, and he blasted it on twitter. Moron.”

Sesame Street isn’t allowed to talk to kids, about issues anymore? I know the right don’t want to talk about anything unless it involves “tromp being king” or “our idol trompkin” or whatever.

Seriously, what the fuck?

The maga and right-swinging poppy sees don’t want the left to do anything. We can’t talk about racial injustice, or share our feelings, or be happy with someone we want to spend the rest of ours lives with. The right doesn’t want free speech, unless you talk about how grand their cult leader orange bumpkin is.

What exactly does the right want? They scream “freedom of speech” and then they spread lies and rumors, and talk about stupid bullshit. But when the left is trying to do the responsible thing, and inform people, and admit faults - that’s wrong?

Oh yeah, and apparently everything the left talks about is socialist propaganda. Like man, I just want some ice cream and have a fulfilling job. Get the fuck off my back.
