Monte Prena, Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso, Abruzzo, Italia
We hiked a total of 14,4 km (roughly 9 miles) with an elevation gain of 1020 m (3346 feet) through a spectacular trail that leads you to the peak of Monte Prena. White rocks, bare landscapes, wide views until the Adriatic Sea in the distance. The descent is quite strenuous due to the precarious rocks, but really enjoyable!
