So officer Holt's a warlock, right? What sort of magic does he use? Also why did he become a cop?
yes, grant holt is a warlock! he has very weak sparky magic that is hardly useful. the only purpose it serves really is to prove to others that he is in fact a warlock. i suspect that it’s so weak and difficult to use because he’s suppressed it all his life to survive. he’s not very good at using it.
he became a cop because he didn’t think he could make any change from the outside - he wanted to work within the system to save warlock lives and try to alleviate the widespread suffering he sees. he does make a difference, and saves a decent number of warlocks from terrible fates.
