"w—well, but i didn't! so, all good right?" well, technically she did but those wounds were already healing, so mentioning them would only be idiotic, right? should she even care that much about her own preservation if her regenerative powers did the trick? of course, the pain electrifying her nerve endings remained the same but it should not matter. right after finishing her half-hearted excuse would a cough escape her throat, puffing into the air with a tiny cloud of soot. one of her hands immediately shot up in embarrassment, fingertips kissed by the residual ash. meanwhile, an incessant meowing would fill the awkward silence between the two whilst she kept her other hand on the tiny feline covered in dark smoke.
"and the cuts are already healing, so — don't you worry your pretty head." the divinity waved dismissively with a small smile tugging at her features. alas, she immediately froze whilst hearing the burning building behind them collapse in itself. "oh . . . " even the cat was silenced whilst she slowly turned her head to see the catastrophe that had unfolded. had she been a bit slower, there might have not been anything worth healing. a nervous chuckle slips from her lips whilst facing quincy once again, holding the small feline into his face in order to distract him. "don't look at anything going on behind me, just look at the cat! look at the cat, quincy!" its soot-covered paws reached for the blonde, meowing whilst remaining in the divinity's grasp. "should i keep him? or maybe you? he seems like a stray . . . maybe we should get him cleaned up first, hm?"
