Grapheme Synestheisa

Hey here's a fun Challenge for any other synesthetes out there: Describe what your experience with synestheisa is like! If you have synesthesia of any kind feel free to take this challenge! It's fun hearing how others perceive the world! XD

(BTW I have Grapheme Synesthesia, ie: letters and numbers have colors, as well as other possible neurological crossovers)

ANYHOO here we go!

Letters:

A is bright apple red, loves attention

B is primary blue, peaceful like an empty sky, but also sometimes playful

C is a very very light cyan, shy

D is a subdued purple, cocky

E is a transparent light aqua, almost invisible

F is a flamboyantly warm amber brown, almost orange, show off, woodsy

G is an opaque light aqua, older fella

H is the brownest brown ever, boring but sturdy

I is simply yellow, as bright and transparent as sunshine

J is confused about which pastel it wants to be. Kinda like an opal, but matte

K is a berry-ish red-purple-y brown, feminine

L is a shy, cool, light silver

M is a confident and very warm orange, as warm as a hug

N is a darker warm amber brown, confident

O is a half-opaque white, old

P is dark dark purple, very mysterious

Q is a distinguished silver, proper

R is a dark dull ox-blood red, earthy

S is slimy black, slick, oily

T is the epitome of green

U is an unassuming coral pink

V is a vibrant blood red, like a very sinister A

W is a happy-go-lucky yellow-orange

X is a confused red black, sharp, abrasive

Y is bright pink, more confident than U, secure in its quirkiness

Z is an enigmatic red black, more sly and possibly more evil than V

Numbers:

1 is the confident firstborn, natural leader, he doesn't need to prove himself, he can let others take center stage, but he knows everything will eventually come back to him. White-ish silver.

2 is the youngest, innocent, you can't help but love his adorably blank stare of confusion. Blue, aqua.

3 is the rambunctious kid with sunny blonde curly hair that bounces around as she plays and giggles. Warm yellow.

4 is the very confident slightly older sister who comes off as a know-it-all. Very warm amber brown.

5 is the typical older brother who thinks he's the leader. Is consistently proven wrong, but continues making trouble with his naiive bravery. Warm reddish brown.

6 is the quiet secretive boy hiding in the shadows. What is he planning? Dark dull blue.

7 is the insanely confident and talented oldest sister. Her favorite number is 17. Bright red-orange.

8 is the nerdy older brother. Glasses, geeky, obsessive. School-bus Yellow.

9 is the strong silent type. Loan wolf. May or may not look down on the others, but who could know? He keeps his own councel. Vibrant black.

10 is the oldest, no gender, the others suspect they might be God. Cloud White.

Man this was fun 😂 Though it's really hard even trying to think of what even requires describing here. I'm generally more focused on the subject of my thoughts than how my thoughts are thinking. Let alone how my thoughts are thinking differently from how others' thoughts think! XD

Hi! I also have grapheme synesthesia!

Does the proximity of different letters change their colours for you at all?

For example, for me A is bright yellow but if it’s next to i (which is white) it becomes pastel yellow instead, I’ve been curious about this for ages but don’t know anyone else with this kind of synesthesia

yeah kinda! like for example (it's the best one i can think of lol) 51 is like a reeeeealllly pale blue, but with 151, it alternates so the 1s are white and the 5 is that pale blue. it doesn't really for anything else for me, tho, so it might be unique to you! which is cool!!

like a light cerulean

hard to describe. it's kind of a gradient? ocean-y aqua vibes. like lighter cyan in the top left fading into cerulean in the bottom right. bc numbers have shading. for some reason.
