Art people!
Would anyone be willing to share their opinions on graphics tablets for professional work, and about Wacom's Intus Pro 2025 in particular. I have the opportunity to purchase it, and I have some questions regarding two issues mentioned in these videos:
1. The edges of the tablet are too protruding and rub against the arm when one draws with their arm, and not their wrist. Mentioned in video 1.
- I could possibly manage that, as I try to not have my forearm against the paper anyway.
2. It has a tilt and it's edges are narrow. It's mentioned in videos 1 and 2 as uncomfortable.
- I intend to balance it with some DIY supporters.
3. Any other insights are very welcome, not only about Wacom. I look for as large a tablet as I can get, but reliable, with little lag as possible, and solid software.
I've never drawn with a graphics tablet, but I do draw, and I used to draw using a computer mouse in MS Paint - so I am used to that type of thing. I intend to do professional work with it.
Thanks in advance, Here's to hoping I'm not shadowbanned anymore, and that anyone will even see this.
Actually, well, I feel a bit ridiculous asking this, but if you guys have people who are related to the matter on your blog, I'd appreciate it if you could reblog this, as I'm not sure if I'm still shadowbanned.
yall pls drop me a link to where I can buy/find a cheap tiny graphics tablet (around £20) I've found one on amazon but can't find it anymore pls help me out I'm dying to make this animation I've storyboarded in my sketchbook
Drawing tablet help
Currently, I make all my art on an entry level wacom intuos, as of 2021 I’ll have been using it for 4-5 years. I know these things basically live forever, I still haven’t even used up all the pen nibs it came with.
But I was wondering if in the future I should upgrade to a display tablet. Obviously it wouldn’t be the latest cintiq or anything, I don’t have the money or space for something like that. I also don’t know what the future will look like, but I want to be able to ponder for a while longer than the week before Christmas. (also for what it’s worth, at the moment I’m just a hobbyist, but I have considered trying to do commissions or something in the future, not 100% sure either way)
All the articles I see are focused on people deciding their first ever tablet, often saying “it takes less time to get used to a display tablet” But I want opinions from people who’ve always used displays or have already made the jump from non-display to screen tablets. This also includes specific recommendations, links to in depth articles or programs used (I use clip studio paint but I know on some tablets you have to buy a subscription to use it so other apps like procreate are used instead)
So, I realized I was gonna have to install the drivers for my graphics tablet again (I had to have my hard drive replaced a couple months ago) so I went searching for my disc. Can’t find it. Looked online for the drivers, can’t find the ones for my specific tablet. So I sighed and figured I’d use my old tablet, which I knew where the disc was. I never used it much because I didn’t care for it, but whatever. So I do that, and plug it in and...as far as I can tell it’s just straight up not working. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. So I can’t practice any digital art until I:
a) find the drivers for my Bamboo,
b) figure what the hell is wrong with my turcom,
or
c) get whole new fucking tablet.
Does anyone else get that tablet bug where you're in the middle of drawing and suddenly you can't move the cursor anymore? Battery is fine, the pen button clicks are still registering and restarting all the drivers does nothing. The only fix is restarting pc. Anyone found a better solution to that or nah?
