Let’s talk about #Masculinity 🌹 I love men as a “species”. I say, “species” because I recognize their differences from women. I also recognize that men, like women, have flaws. I recognize that men, like women, have bad days and bad apples among them. But you know what else I recognize? Men’s unique ability to be the protectors, and providers to women/children. I love men’s physical capabilities. Their confidence in their appearance. I love their selflessness. Their bravery to go to places women and children don’t usually go. I love their incredible ability to build a bond with strangers. How quick they are able to forgive after a fight, whether with another man or woman. I love how gentle they can be in the midst of a storm. I love seeing men who believe in kindness, and perseverance. I love men’s ferocious drive to succeed. Its evident in some of the most obvious ways. Especially in their role as a leader, a protector, a provider. I also can’t help but love their weakness for female beauty. The way they admire our bodies and our beauty, I’ve seen how it drives so many of them to be better, to be kinder, gentler, and more loving. I love how they’ve made the world a better place simply by being good fathers. It sounds so simple and yet I believe it is one of the most powerful tool’s for success in the life of a human - the evident love of a father. I can’t say this enough - I love their protective and hard working nature. I’m grateful for how much great science they’ve uncovered since the beginning of time. Their curiosity and their courage to explore the world has taken us to the heights we are enjoying every day. I love how many great artists and books, movies, and architectures have been created at the hands of men. I am grateful for all of their difficult sacrifices, for all of their bravery despite suffering, doubt, and even hopelessness, especially in the most horrid of places like a war zone or battlefield. I’m especially grateful for all the opened jars and cans, all the chopped wood, all of the (dangerous) physical labor that men do on a daily basis all around the world to provide for those who they love! 🔥 Today, I am #gratefulformen.🌹 #ThankYou
