kinda loving the fact that everyone in the gf fandom agrees that the fearamid thing with ford was absolutely bill's cruddy attempt to seduce Ford (and it's now canon)

This website just doesn't feel cozy anymore... I miss the thriving Pokéask blog community, I miss when the two biggest things to talk about were Pokémon Black & White and Animal Crossing New Leaf, and I just miss when this place wasn't run by a corporate shill.
I've been reading a few things about opinions and thoughts on Pink Diamond from the new episodes, and there are a couple of things that stood out to me and have made think a bit.
First of all, some people have been talking about how Pink Diamond is very childlike, and her/Stevonnie's behaviour in the dream definitely support this. This isn't immature in a gem sense like Amethyst, toying with the human concept of 'baby of the group/family' after being around humans. Pink honestly acts like a child, is immature and doesn't know the first thing about 'being a diamond'. She has no idea about anything that Yellow is doing with the colony, and when she demands that Yellow let her do something, she starts playing with the buttons and panels like a child playing grown-up. She doesn't know what she's doing.
Not to mention her tantrum is the illogical demands of a child who doesn't understand how or why. When Jasper and Peridot threw tantrums, they were at least somewhat logical and while a juvenile reaction, asked questions that required an at least somewhat mature understanding of the things going on around them at the time. Pink's tantrum consists of illogical and somewhat unreasonable demands. I want my OWN colony, and my OWN army, and I want them RIGHT NOW!
Yellow's tolerance of Pink and Pink's attitude toward Yellow, as well as the psychological link showing Dr. Maheshwaran, a mother figure toward Stevonnie, indicates that this relationship reflects Yellow and Pink's, at least to an extent. Some kind of mother/daughter or at least motherly older sibling relationship. Which brings up another point.
I was a huge fan of the idea that Yellow was the one to shatter Pink and covered it up with Rose Quartz, who ran with it for the sake of the rebellion, and morale and all that. I liked this because of Yellow's reactions in episodes like The Trial, where she does seem to have a bit of a guilty conscience, or is trying to cover something up with her aggression. But these actions and responses make a lot more sense if Pink was really as childlike as we see in Stevonnie's dream. Yellow's actions seem much more realistic as the vengeful mother figure. How DARE you imply that I less than loved her. How DARE you so much as think that I would have a hand in her shattering. How DARE STAND HERE AND SAY THAT TO MY FACE. She is the mother figure who will demand retribution and justice for her child to her last breath, which seems incredibly harsh when juxtaposed with Blue who is the mourning mother who will never let go of their child either, and while wants justice and would accept it should it be served, would much rather mourn Pink in peace and let her rest than actively seek it out. What we have seen of Yellow before now has been abrasive, condescending, a commander who will take what she wants. She has been the villian, the big bad, and easy to dislike, even hate. And so it was easy for me to jump on board with she was power hungry and had a hand in shattering Pink. And yes, she did seem dismissive of Pink in the dream, but I feel like that was a case of 'don't bother mummy while she's working', and honestly the comparison to Dr. Maheshwaran I felt was apt because Connie immediately related. But don't for one moment think that Dr. Maheshwaran, should anything happen to Connie, and when things have in the past, hesitate to step up to the plate and DESTROY anything that would DARE lay a HAND on her child.
Do not for one moment think that Yellow would stand by when someone so much as LOOKED at Pink wrong. Blue may be the doting, mourning mother figure who will let Pink cry in her arms and will lay her to rest, but Yellow is the vengeful mother who will accept nothing less than the annihilation of whoever shattered her precious child, her little sister, her Pink Diamond.
bill has a type and it's men with tree last names. Stanford PINES? Silas BIRCHTREE? keep the pokemon professors away from this man
god what is with the pines and simping for the weirdest things. like we all talk about billford but like the rest did too. dipper with the green M&M, Mabel with Alexander Hamilton, Stan with both Eda and that statue (was it's name Goldie??? I forgot lol). Even honorary pines (soos) do this (giffany)
I love ford pines bc he had a homoerotic situationship with a literal triangle and shaves by lighting his face on fire but he would NEVER be caught dead with a smartphone or laptop because he has STANDARDS, we just have no idea what they are
being a gravity falls fan in 2024 sure is something. the book of bill?? canon billford?? oregon parks dept?? thisisnotawebsitedotcom?? whatever the heck jason ritter has going on?? hell yeah
the more I think about it, the more I hate the theory that bill destroyed his dimension by tilting it. like, there's so much canon against it, and there's not even any fire. but I do believe he killed them all by trying to show them the stars, just not the tilt-y thing
