My second-born daughter had a teddy bear tho...a white one that ended up becoming a light gray bear. The gray bear is in their memory chest, too. It got so old, it couldn’t be washed anymore. I remember one of its arms fell off and we attempted to reattach it with tape lol..fabric tape I think or some type of tape, and it worked like the penny did for a few more years as her friend. She adored that teddy—and called it “teddy”—and wouldn’t go to sleep without it. Out of all five of my children, only two of them had a beloved stuffed animal friend. My oldest son and my second-born daughter.
