sunghwa's a light sleeper. not all the time (considering there are days when the workload is too heavy to bear) but most times, at the slight crack of the floorboard, he's groaning awake.
he senses movements on the bed the moment he feels his arm being lifted up. his eyes peel open with a sigh as he watches you move in the dark, curling up into a ball as you hug your pillow. a frown appears on his face as he tries to shift closer towards you, now being on full-alert as he places a hand on your lower back.
the act alone startles you with a soft gasp as you turn to the side, and his eyes take in how sad you look in turn for his worried gaze on you.
"s-sorry," you mumble, a hand of yours reaching out to go through his hair, "did i wake you?"
he shakes his head, the strands of his hair against your palm ruffling up as he pushes himself a bit to sit up, getting a closer look at you. for a split second, your eyes snap shut as you clutch onto the side of your head, as if you're trying to swallow the pain and sunghwa doesn't know which is worse. the fact that he can see you're in pain and he can't do anything about it, or that you're simply in pain.
"you're having those headaches again," his voice is monotonous, even though every part of his being is upset that he can't do anything that'll take the pain away. you hear him heaving a sigh and upon meeting eyes again, he gives you a pinned look that makes your voice grow soft as you say: "they were fine yesterday..."
"well," he huffs, pushing himself off the bed, "today is a new day,"
you press your lips together in efforts to shut up even though you're not saying anything, watching as sunghwa walks around the bed and holds his hand out, "come."
wordlessly, you put your hand in his to allow him to pull you up and you're following his footsteps to the kitchen. he lets go of your hand to pin you against the counter, "wait here," as he steps away to rummage through the cupboards. a few opening and closing of the cupboard doors later, the soft rattle of a pill bottle with a short running of the tap water, sunghwa presents himself in front of you.
despite being in the dark, you can see him using his eyes to point at what he's holding. you don't miss a beat to reach for the pills and glass of water, taking the usual dosage and he takes the glass away to ditch it in the sink. then, he turns to you to grip onto your hand so he can lure you back to the bedroom where he effectively tucks you in.
it was... uncanny.
"what're you smiling at?" he grumbles, yet, his actions prove otherwise as he pushes the hair back from your forehead, gazing at you as your eyes sleepily blink slowly, clutching onto one of his hands as you hug it to your chest, "nothin'," you smile, but sunghwa reads between the lines all too well that it makes him scoff and lightly tap your forehead, "go to sleep, you brat."
"yeah yeah," you chuckle, eyes closing, about to drift off to sleep but not before giving his hand a kiss and snuggling into the bed, "thank you, sunghwa-yah,"
"whatever," he murmurs, leaning over to kiss your forehead, which is the real answer you hear in your head when you can feel the smile of his lips on your skin: you're welcome.
Gray and Zion T reaction to seeing you again for the first time in years after a painful separation:
Sunghwa was not planning on seeing you back ever again. You two broke up two years ago, after being in a relationship for five years. You were both to blame and not to blame. Bottom line: you two would have never worked out in that time and place of your lives and decided to start living your own, separated from each other. Seeing you back would bring up old memories but also doubts and guilt. Did he really try hard enough for your relationship? Was your relationship really doomed to fail, or was that just an excuse you both used to part ways? Sunghwa would not voice out these questions to you, but maybe put them into a sad hiphop song. Even with no name mentioned, you would know the song is about you.
Haesol and you parted ways years ago when he was on the edge of his big breakthrough. You were madly in love at that time, but it became painfully clear to you that a life in the spotlights next to him was not meant for you. You liked your quiet life and was not ready to give up your chance at living like a normal person. You broke his heart, and it did not heal for many years. When he thought that he was finally over you, you saw each other back at a business collaboration with your company, bringing back all the bittersweet memories. He would try to reconnect with you, see if you have any lingering feelings about him and if you do, he will try to find a way to convince you to give into your feelings and to show you that he can protect you.

It was supposed to be a surprise that you were showing up at the company. A huge surprise that all of the company workers tried showing up to watch because they knew of your dramatics. Whatever you wanted to get done, you put on a huge show for it! And for this instance, it was to give your boyfriend a very large, very happy, and VERY DRAMATIC birthday kiss. You’d talked to him about it before and he seemed like he didn’t mind all that much, you were just a bit shy about showing affection because you didn’t want to get teased incessantly afterward. But not today! Today you were going to do it. You were going to kiss him, and you were going to have fun with him, and the others were going to get so embarrassed from the show of affection that you wouldn’t hear from them for WEEKS! Right?
You had managed to convince half the guys to distract your boyfriend as you quickly set everything up in the main room, silently counting everything down until you were able to call them up and say it was okay to come back….hopefully he likes the surprise….
Jay Park
You wasted no time in finding him in his office, quickly stepping in and grinning wide at him with his present hidden behind your back. He was in the middle of some sort of meeting when he glanced up at you and gave a tiny smile, trying to stay as professional as possible. “Hey Y/N, what are you doing here?” He asked softly while motioning you over to him.
You immediately sat in his lap and went to kiss his cheek, winking at the guys on the screen in front of you as you did so. “Can I not see my boyfriend and surprise him on his birthday?” You pouted innocently, hiding your snicker as best you could….and failing miserably.
He gave you a look that said he didn’t believe you, and you in turn grinned innocently. “Okay fine. I have a surprise for you though. So finish your meeting and then come with me.” You told him in his ear, which earned snickers and a couple comments from the guys on the computer screen.
He gave you a look that seemed to scream, ‘don’t do this to me now’ and you just smiled at him and stood up off his lap. You then sat on the couch and waited patiently for him to finish the meeting, wondering how long it would take him to spot the present on his desk. Needless to say the present was still there after you managed to drag him out to the lobby where your surprise was at.
He was too busy looking around at everyone in confusion to see that you were putting on a show of fixing your lipstick and making it as vibrant and caked on as possible before you prepare yourself. “What is going on Y/N?” He asked you in confusion, turning around to face you.
It took only a couple seconds for him to realize what you were doing, and stared could only stare at you with a small smirk as you latched yourself onto his neck and left a HUGE lip mark on his cheek. And the moment you released him, you buried your face in his shoulder in embarrassment, laughing softly while the office erupted into loud cheering. “So….does this mean I can kiss you in front of everyone now?” He asked dreamily.
You swatted his shoulders and gave him your famous look.

Unfortunately for you….it was next to impossible getting this man out of his studio unless there was a client he was meeting. Or you managed to bribe him with food and a ‘good night.’ He was just so insistent on finishing his work that you wondered if he managed to move a bed into his studio yet. Which was where you begging the guys to get him out came in. You’d convinced them all that there would be a good surprise for them if they helped you, and they just couldn’t say no to that!
So lucky you, somehow the guys had pulled your boyfriend into the front lobby of AOMG with proud grins on their faces. “Y/N! One Gray just like you asked!” Simon hollered with a laugh, smacking said guy on his back as you walked up to them.
You managed to hug him tight and smiled a little when he wrapped his arms around you immediately. “What’s going on?” He asked curiously, wanting nothing more than to look around.
You released him to allow him to do that and grinned innocently. “Whaaaaat makes you think something’s going on? It’s not like it’s an important day or anything.” You sarcastically replied, leaning against a table.
You could see the wheels turning in his head as he thought about it, and you couldn’t help frowning just a tiny bit, before his expression lit up in surprise. “How did I-you remembered?” He finally gushed, looking at you
You gave him a gentle smile and quickly walked up to peck him on the cheek. “Of course I remembered you dork. You’re my boyfriend.” You chuckled while he just gave you a surprised expression.
He could only hug you in response as you just silently hid in embarrassment while trying your hardest not to make a sound. And he helped make sure no one saw by keeping you close to his chest for the next few minutes, making the others in the room uncomfortable enough to disappear and do their own work again.
Loco
To be honest you had to kind of coax him out of his office with the help of Simon and Jay. He didn’t want to go anywhere since he was so focused on making music again after coming back from the military. You were quite surprised he was so focused on that since he looked so tired after coming home. You wanted to do something for him, and his coming home around his birthday was the perfect distraction. “Here he comes!”
You put on your best grin the moment you saw him appear in the lobby doorway, eyes wide in surprise with a starstruck smile on his face. “Wh-What? What’s going on?” He asked in bewilderment while immediately making his way to your side.
You just grinned wider and hugged him to you. “Happy Birthday Baby.” You whispered in his ear.
He was too busy looking at all the decorations to hear you until you chuckled softly along with the others all calling out to him happily. He was just grinning at everyone in excitement at celebrating with them finally. You felt your heart swell at seeing his smile and couldn’t hold back the urge to kiss his forehead in adoration. It sounded like the room went entirely silent after the show of affection, and you both looked around in surprise. “About time you get something!” They heard a voice yell a little further away.
Simon Dominic
Simon knew you too well to know that you were trying to set something up for him. He just didn’t want to say anything to ruin the ‘surprise’ you wanted so much to give him. And he couldn’t help feeling a little guilty about working so hard on the music in his studio. He’d even gotten a message from you specifying to STAY AWAY from the office until you said it was okay to come back. And he knew better than to ignore what you said when it was something this important.
But there was just one little thing he needed from the office at the perfect moment, that when he stepped through the lobby to grab it, you were in the process of setting up a huge piece of his favorite food in the middle of the huge table. “What is this?” He wondered with a wide grin.
You yelped in surprise at hearing his bass voice and turned to him wide eyed. “Dammit, I thought I told you to stay away until 5 o’clock!” You yelled at him, lightly tapping his shoulder while he just started chuckling at you.
You rolled your eyes as he continued laughing, wrapping his arms around you in affection. “I’m sorry Babe, but I needed to grab something. Plus it’s 4:50. I’m just a little early.” He replied softly.
You grumbled quietly and crossed your arms over your chest. “You’re lucky I love you so much.” You sighed out, leaning in to kiss him.
“Eeewwww gross, get a room!” Jay shrieked.
Wonjae
You knew he honestly didn’t want a large party, so instead of mentioning it to everyone and having it be that big, it was just a couple of his friends hiding out in the office you convinced Jay to kick everyone out of for a few hours. Of course Jay felt the need to stick around though. “I want to see what happens! Just making sure you kids stay safe!” He’d told you even though you both knew it was a joke and he just wanted to stick around for food and alcohol.
Wonjae was called up by a friend and told that there was a surprise for him at his office, which made him a little confused. Why would the friend know that? How could he even know that? What was going on? He tried calling you to see what was going on when you answered the phone immediately through your fit of laughter. “Hey Babe! You almost to the office?” You asked him happily, scrunching your nose at a thing Jay was trying to joke about.
He gave a small sigh and smiled at the sound of you laughing with everyone. “I’ll be there in a couple minutes.” He replied softly, trying to just memorize the sound of your laugh and voice through the phone.
“Okay, but hurry up! I can’t wait much longerrrrr!” You whined into the receiver.
He just laughed quietly and rushed himself into to the elevator. “I’ll be there in a couple minutes. I’m in the elevator.” He finally said, hearing your squees in excitement that lasted a good minute or so.
“Okay! Bye love you!” You giggled, blowing loud kisses into the phone right as he got off in the lobby area.
He opened the door right as you clicked the end call and you both looked at each other in surprise. “Did you-”
“No...no I did not…”

In all honesty, he’d managed to sneak around into the building without you knowing to see what you were doing. He was too curious for his own good that he just wanted to knooooowwwww. So finally when you saw him peak his head around for the 3rd time in 10 minutes, you were staring him down with your hands on your hips, silently telling him to get his butt over to you if he wanted to survive. “I was just coming in to grab something from the office!” He whined the moment he stopped in front of you.
“No…” You replied simply, giving him a look so he knew you weren’t messing around.
He pouted and rested his hands on your shoulders. “Okay fine. I wanted to see what you were doing…. .” He tried again.
You silently shook your head and glared at him, hands going to your hips. He shrugged weakly and gave you an innocent stare. “I love you?”
You broke your resolve and giggled a little at him. “I love you too my little sneak.” You mumbled quietly while grabbing hold of his shirt.
He smiled happily when you giggled at him, and the both of you got lost in the moment as you pulled him to you and kissed his nose. In fact, you were so lost in the moment, you didn’t hear Simon walk in at the right time and completely record the whole thing on his phone! “Yessss, that’s going on the site!” He yelled excitedly before disappearing down the hallway before you both knew what happened.
Sung Hwa would be open tot dating a foreigner, no matter their skin colour. But you will have to be kind and a bit extraordinary to catch his attention. Your eyes or beautiful smile will probably do the trick. Dating him and being in a long-distance relationship with him will be rather easy. Because you are both often very busy, missing each other will not be a deal breaker. But the time spent with each other, by phone or in real life, is one word: amazing. When you are in Korea, he will drop all of his work and clear his schedule. You also have to be prepared to have really late-night talks and offer up sleep because of the time difference: he will want to hear or see you very often and won’t be considerate of time. Oh and one more thing, If you’re dating Sung Hwa you are basically dating whole AOMG: the boys will always interrupt your video call to talk with you and fool around; the girls, well they love girls talks, even to the point Sung Hwa will hand his phone over to them. They all cannot wait until you are back in the country to meet up and show you around.
