I live in southern California. Is NYC a hard transition? I am thinking of moving there, but I am not sure. It is just so different, especially the weather.
i think that it really depends. i have friends who hate it out here, and want to move back to SoCal asap. i think i just miss home right now cause i've been talking with all my friends and family back home, and summer in SoCal can't compare to anywhere else.
but that being said, no one moves to NY for the weather. people move here for the experience.
NY can be really lonely if you don't have friends out here, and it took about 6 months before NY really felt like home to me. the thing i miss most about CA though is my car - the freedom to go wherever i wanted, whenever i wanted. subways run 24/7 here, but at 2 in the morning, they come every 20-30 mins. if i had a car i could be home in that amount of time.
I'm going to move home (specifically Bel Air), eventually. I would never raise kids out here. but i think that living in NY is something that you should do, just for the life experience of it. you'll meet so many people and learn so many things out here.
I love your Tumblr so much. It is hard to find quality Tumblrs ran by other girls who like girls.
thank you, darling...that's a nice thing to see in the morning =)
