Brother Vs. Brother: This is a verse set after the episode Five Years Gone. Sylar and Peter after nearly destroying Washington, DC, find a way to make peace with each other. It started out as Sylar using Peter, but over time (a lot of RP) they have become frenemies and lovers. They live in Peter's apartment above the strip club in Vegas. They are doing their best to make the general public accept specials and shut down the camps that Nathan started when he was president.

Brothers Gray: After getting fed up dealing with Angela and the Company, Sylar uses Hiro's power to escape to a parallel world where he meets his younger self. Their friendship is very new, and Sylar is concerned that Gabe's been listening to Chandra. He is determined to make sure that Gabe doesn't walk the path that he did.

Of Like Minds: Sylar is locked in his solitary nightmare in Parkman's basement. Peter goes to save him, but he's stopped by another--another Sylar from an alternate future who has come back in time to remind Sylar how to be a wolf instead of a sheep.

who cooks normally?: We both like to cook. Gabe’s usually on breakfast duty, and I like to make dinner. 

how often do they fight?: We’ve had very few fights, part of being basically the same person I suppose. But when we do fight, they are epic. Gabe is fond of bashing me over the head with heavy coffee mugs. 

what do they do when they’re away from each other?: Gabe goes to the shop. I like to go there sometimes, but it’s his shop not mine. It’s where he gets to recharge. We both read a lot when we’re alone. Hell, we read when we’re together. Gabe and I are very good at just being quiet. 

nicknames for each other?: We call each other ‘brother’. That’s how our relationship started. It wasn’t until later that we realized it was more than that—so much more.

who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Pretty much whoever picks the restaurant pays. We have a favorite diner, Italian restaurant, and there’s this brownie bakery near Central Park that we haunt.

who steals the covers at night?: Out cat, Esme. 

what would they get each other for gifts?: Books, a certain cat, puzzles and broken clocks. It’s no fun to get a clock that doesn’t need fixing. 

who remembers things?: We both have surprisingly good memories considering that we don’t remember anything before Virginia brought us home. Sometimes I wish I could forget more than I do. 

who cusses more?: Obviously me. Gabe swears once every blue moon, and it always makes me smile.

what would they do if the other one was hurt?: I have regen. I made sure that he has too. We’d heal, and then we’d hunt down and kill whoever hurt us. 

who kissed who first?: I kissed him one night when he had a nightmare.

who made the first move?: That would be me too. But Gabe’s the one who proposed.

who started the relationship?: We started it together.

Goodbye - ficlet for Graylikeme

It was the end of time. The sky was black, and the air was stagnant. We were curled in each others’ arms, huddled on top of one of the one of the few buildings that remained somewhat intact. The rest of civilization was gone. We were alone, and after so many centuries haunting an empty world, we’d lost our sanity and regained it over and over again. There was little food left, and we’d starved to death many times only to return.

Claire had the right idea. She’d jumped into a volcano, letting the heat of the lava destroy any trace of her. I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t let go of my life, and I couldn’t leave Gabe alone. He’d offered. He said that we could go together, hand in hand, to our deaths. But I was afraid. I’ve always been afraid of dying—of going to hell for what I’ve done. 

Now we’d been watching the sun fade, the air thin and waiting for the end for what felt like forever. Even I’d lost track of how much time had passed, but I doubted that he had. We seldom spoke anymore. We didn’t need words. We knew what we felt. We knew what each other was thinking—we always had. It didn’t matter how many powers we’d collected. It didn’t matter that we could do nearly anything. We were immortal. We were powerful. We were the last of our kind, but we had each other. 

He hadn’t aged. Neither had I. I brushed my fingers through his thick dark hair and kissed Gabriel deeply. His taste was all I wanted on my lips when the end finally came. “I have always loved you,” my voice cracked from disuse. “I always will.”

10. Neck Kiss for Gabe

I heard the clatter of bowls and humming coming from the kitchen when I came in. Gabe was standing at the counter with flour on his cheek and his glasses slipping down his nose while he read a recipe. He was adorable. My stomach filled with butterflies at the sight of him with his perfect hair out of place and the smudge on his face. He was always so damned neat. Apparently we weren’t capable of letting our hair down until we’d felt someone’s blood and brains on our hands. 

“What are you making?” I asked as I come into the kitchen and leaned over his shoulder. There was a bright yellow package of chocolate chips, and my smile grew larger. “I love chocolate chip cookies more than almost anything, Gabe.” Except you. He smelled like vanilla, and I couldn’t stop looking at his lips when he smiled in return. 

“I know.” He bumped shoulders with me, then went back to mixing the chips into the dough. “Don’t eat it raw. You’ll get worms.” 

“I wouldn’t dream of it.” I was lying. I wanted to grab a big gob of it to munch on, but not as much as I suddenly wanted him. We’d leaned on each other so much. We loved each other, but I had crossed a line along the way. I needed him. So I gave him a quick peck on the temple and then a lingering kiss on his neck. Hopefully he wouldn’t mind.

It was spring. The days were getting longer. My temper was getting shorter. And I needed to get away from the chaos. Everyone wanted something from me, and I was sick of it. I hated being responsible. I missed doing what I wanted whenever I wanted. It was making me feel like Gabriel, and I was never going to be Gabriel again. 

So I told Angela and the rest of the Company to shove it up their asses and walked out. No more Mr. Nice Guy. No more suits. No more playing friendly with the morons. I was done. When I got the sixth call on my phone, I crushed it with telekinesis and closed my eyes. I called on Hiro's power and walked from my dimension to another.

They'd never find me here. I'd have some piece and quiet. As much as I was fighting being tamed, it was probably some mental breakdown that made me go to Gray & Sons. But for some reason, I needed to find my anchor, and the shop was where I was born.
