Not like it was anyone's business. "Truth to be told, I really don't get crushes. Me and Luce were friends and it just progressed to us dating. There wasn't a good chance to do that since we were all busy a lot of times during our guild adventures". Also, there was the time were they all went to the higher plane of existence for seven years. Not a lot of time to develop a one sided crush, that's for sure.

"Then again, the only people I was around was flame-breath and Erza. Not a high chance of developing anything with those two. Natsu because well have you looked at him and see how he acts? Erza scares the shit out of me sometimes so that's a no go too. Lisana is out because I didn't meet her until later. So yeah, the opportunity just didn't present itself to me".

Besides, he had different goals before he met Lucy. Didn't spare Gray the chance to get a crush in the first place.
