He sure held up for too long
(for context, Black made his life miserable, he took Wenda & Simon as minions, kept Tunner as a prisioner torturing him for answers, killed Sky twice and killed Wenda in front of him as well as all the other friends he made during the apocalypse. He never insulted on his life, but Black just broke the nerve.
