💝 for trucy!!!
my Muse will ramble on about how they presently feel about yours.
Phoenix puts down his cup of tea upon hearing Maya's question, now that she is back from her training. Right, even if he talked about Trucy to her, it is not like he had given much details, especially since the past years were... some sort of blur, to say the least. He looks down to the swirling hot drink, and his expression visibly soften.
"She's... everything. I'd be lying if I said I did not think a few times how much I did not deserve her. I was... never ready to be a father... but she needed me... I needed her... She kept up with a lot of mess, and, at the back of my mind, I always knew she deserved better, so I kept trying harder. For her.
A better parent would not put a child in a situation where they need to lean on their child, but Trucy... she did everything she could all those years to make sure I was okay. A parent should not show their child how much they may struggle, but she is so smart, and already went through so much, I could not hide much from her. So we teamed up...
I am always amazed at how much she's doing. I want to, at least, give her a space where she knows she has the right to make mistakes, and ask for things. Where she can be sad and angry at anything and nothing, so when it feels too much, her dad will stay by her, and comfort her.
I always want her to know how much I love her, and how her happiness is my happiness. I am so proud of her, Maya. She's growing into a fine young woman, and I never have to worry about her; I know that whatever she puts her mind to, she will make it work, charm everyone around her, and ask for help if she so needs.
All I can do is, hope I can live up to her, so she is proud to call me her father."
