parking lot. pulling out his cellphone, the man texted his lady friend he was supposed to meet up with saying he’d have to reschedule. sure she wasn’t happy, but nathaniel felt helping meredith with her possible case was more important.
waiting by his car, the man looked up to find meredith walking towards him. greeting her with a smile, he instructed her to follow him to his apartment. while he didn’t want to admit it, he did live close to the office. it was convenient for him to be able to drive about seven minutes to his home and pass out within minutes; he hoped she wouldn’t point out how close he lived.

Meredith didn’t take long to get her stuff together, and grab anything she thought she might need to work on the possible case. Her desk was well organized so it was easy for her to get everything quickly. She made her way out to the parking lot and found Nathaniel, then nodded and got into her own car. When told to make herschel at home, Meredith smiled and nodded. She placed the case files down on the table, setting them up so that they could get a good look at everything that she already had. When Nathaniel came back, Meredith was still standing by the table, eyes on the papers in front of her. “Oh, uh, water is fine. I don’t drink.” Her past relationship with alcohol wasn’t exactly well known in the station, and Meredith wanted to keep it that way.
