Summer Nights
A/N: My first preferences! I’m hoping to do more of these soon so definitely give me some feedback!
Doody “I met a girl crazy for me/ Met a boy cute as can be”
“You’re a really good singer. And you’re amazing at playing guitar. How do you play like that?” Doody shrugged at the smiling girl, sitting cross-legged in the sand in front of him.
“It’s not really hard. I can show you. If you want. ” (y/N) nodded enthusiastically, beaming at the incredibly handsome guitar player. Doody motioned for (Y/N) to scoot next to him, which she did.
“So this is a C.” Doody showed (Y/N) the placement of his fingers, strummed the strings a couple times, than handed his guitar to (Y/N). She copied what Doody did, and smiled. Doody smiled too. “Good job. Now here’s an A.” He scooted over so he sat on his knees behind (Y/N) and wrapped his arms around her, moving her fingers to the correct spots.
Roger “Took her bowling in the arcade/ We went strolling drank lemonade”
“Hey, five pins isn’t too bad.” Roger tried to encourage (y/N), seeing how dejected she looked at her score.
“No, but it is three times in a row.” Roger shrugged.
“You did good. You lost … ”
“Miserably.”
“ … maybe. But you tried. C'mon let’s go on a walk.”
“Good idea. I can’t lose at walking.”
“You can’t.” Roger said this cheerfully, making (y/N) laugh. (Y/N) barely spent a moment with Roger where she wasn’t laughing. He made her exponentially happy. They walked out into the bright glare of beach Sunlight, hand in hand. Roger bought them both lemonade and they walked down the beach.
Danny “We made out under the dock/ We stayed out till 10 o'clock”
“There’s sand in my bra,” (y/N) complained, sitting up. Danny laughed at her. “Don’t laugh at me. It’s itchy and it’s your fault.”
“How is it my fault? ” Danny propped himself up on his elbow and looked up at (Y/N). “I didn’t put sand down your bra.”
“But who’s idea was it to make out in a pile of sand in the middle of the night?”
“You agreed to it. And it’s not the middle of the night. It’s like ten o'clock.”
“I’m normally asleep by now,” (Y/N) said. Danny smiled.
“Am I keeping you awake?” Instead Of waiting for an answer, he reached up and lightly placed his Hand on (Y/N)’s neck, pulling her down for another kiss.
Sonny
“He got friendly holding my hand/ She got friendly down in the sand”
“You’re telling me you’ve never been to the beach before? ” Sonny squeezed (Y/N)’s hand as they walked down the beach.
“Not really, no.” Sonny sat down in the sand and pulled (Y/N) down with him.
“We … are building a sand castle. You haven’t lived yet.”
“Well I don’t know how.”
“You think I’m not gonna help you? What type of guy would I be if I didn’t help you?” Sonny began piling sand up with one hand, never letting go of (Y/N)’s.
Kenickie
“He was sweet just turned eighteen/ Well she was good you know what I mean”
“So you just turned 18?” (Y/N) asked Kenickie. He nodded and sat down on the hood of his car, reaching into his jacket pocket and pulling out a carton of cigarettes. He pulled one out and tilted the container towards (Y/N). She shook her head.
“You don’t smoke?” Kenickie asked, putting the package back into his jacket. (Y/N) shook her head. “Why? Just a … good girl?” (Y/N) shrugged.
“I guess.”
“So I guess you don’t drink either?” (Y/N) shook her head again. She could see Kenickie had more questions about her ‘good girl’ status. “What else do you want to know?” Kenickie shrugged and lightly grabbed (Y/N)’s wrist, pulling her towards him so their knees were touching. (Y/N) smiled.
“You ever had a boyfriend?”
“Not a serious one.”
“So you’ve never … no. You’re a good girl. You haven’t.”
“I haven’t what?”
