So, RQG is the best fandom I’ve ever been a part of.
I can’t sleep, I am SO happy rn. It’s almost 6AM and I just got back my comments from my teacher on my 3rd quarter essay and I got a 96 - the highest grade I’ve gotten in that class on those papers. He’s a really tough grader and honestly I’m so proud for writing what he called a “remarkable” autoethnography on the bi community (I’m bi), especially bc I was worried about backlash from peers, but they all loved it. What’s a paper that you’ve gotten great feedback on that you didn’t expect?
👏 Congratulations!!! That’s awesome, and I’m so happy for you! 💖 It sounds like you worked really hard on that essay, so you obviously earned the praise! 😘 Usually, I’ve found that the stuff we’re most worried about writing turns out to be our most well-received work lol.
Man, they rarely give us great feedback in J-school because we’re supposed to toughen up, haha, but I had a professor in undergrad who was incredible albeit terrifying. He was regarded as the toughest professor in the political science department, so, naturally, I made him my honor’s thesis advisor. I was also taking two of his classes simultaneously, and in my last semester, after going through a bunch of personal stuff and then getting sick as usual, I wrote my final paper for one of his political theory classes in a steroidal prednisone-induced haze. He knew I was exhausted because he could see it on my face whenever I walked into his lectures, so he told me I didn’t have to write a final paper if I didn’t want to -- he was gonna give me an A either way, but I didn’t want a handout, so I wrote the paper just to be able to say I handed something in. I expected it to flop for sure.
Instead, my professor wrote: “I thought this paper might reflect a tired self but that was seriously to underestimate your refusal to do anything that is not excellent. This was a pleasure to read. It was thoughtful, reflective, you caught the theme, and very well-written. From the first stunning paper you wrote in Revolutionaries [the first class I took with him], it has been a privilege.” And well, I really was not expecting that to say the least, lol.
Its me! And my perfect junk n mercy phone case!
the header is cool but would look neater if you hid your icon! otherwise it's perfect

The secret to giving great feedback | The Way We Work, a TED series Source | YouTube | TED Humans have been coming up with ways to give constructive criticism for centuries, but somehow we're still pretty terrible at it. Cognitive psychologist LeeAnn Renniger shares a scientifically proven method for giving effective feedback.
Hi! I listened to your song and it sounds great. It has a feeling of mystery and exploration that I liked a lot, and I put it on loop for the evening. Two things that I noted were that the drums feel cut (like there should be some echo at the end), and when the melody goes around while alone (like at the beginning) it makes my ears feel weird as if they were blocked (or maybe that's just me xb). Congrats on your first song, I loved it ^^, and I hope this is helpful. Have a nice day!
This is awesome and helpful feedback! I’m definitely pulling the effects back from now on. I think I have a tendency to turn too many knobs, and if I can’t hear a difference, I forget to turn them back! 😂
