in an ideal fanfiction form this exists as a oneshot mostly following the plot of lazarus rising with four scenes:

beau climbs out of hell and does the whole scouring of the corner store before yasha says hiiiiii with her gay little angel voice that shatters windows.

beau goes and bothers fjord and they have normal squabbles and throw holy water at each other before figuring out where caleb is (i forgot about his Psychological Issues with turning back time see there’s another parallel)

beau and fjord go find caleb at a hotel and ASTRID and EODWULF answer the door all cheeky to beau and fjords surprise 😳 caleb thinks shes a revenant and we get some monk on wizard violence but obviously he didnt prepare spells and monk wins. (real talk tho in spnverse they dont have dnd powers) turns out caleb DIDNT raise her from the dead and in that case.. who... short timeskip before-

barn scene where yasha walks in as this absolutely shredded woman titties bursting at the buttonup shirt and the softest eyes knocking fjord out with just a touch and saying i’m the one who gripped you tight and raised you from perdition... and beau doesn’t think she’s worth saving... but good things DO happen beauregard.

thinks she’s bi, though sometimes questions herself if she really is if she can’t picture herself ending up in a relationship with men anymore then think maybe it’s just because bad experience with olaf. tries very hard to fall in love with dewey but often fears that she doesn’t love him enough because yeah she liked him they get along nicely he’s sweet but while what knew she and O had wasn’t love she could never be sure if what she and Dewey has was. but then wondered if those very deep feelings about beatrice she could never talk to anyone about counted as love if she wasn’t brave enough to make a move and if a few heated kisses with esme really counted as attracted to woman because like if esme’s hot maybe that’s an exception? alternates between do i really like guys enough to call myself bi and do i really like girls enough to call myself bi

kit/beatrice mutual pining and neither of them ever making a move

OH THIS IS OPENING A CAN OF WORMS ok here’s just a few hot takes carefully curated over the span of nearly 10 years

- Amy hate is stupid and misses one of the points of the book. I could licherally write an entire essay on this but I’ll just leave it at that

- Jo and Laurie not ending up together was good actually. She’s right when she says they’d fight all the time bc they would!!! They work much better as friends/in-laws

- Jo ending up married isn’t a bad thing. I remember when I first read little women and good wives as a kid I was pissed bc Jo was the first protagonist I met who didn’t want to get married and now she suddenly wanted to. But now, as an adult, I get it. People change and that’s fine!! Though it is funny to think abt how good wives was essentially written to be petty to the readers who wouldn’t stop bugging LMA abt jo and laurie

- Meg Isn’t Boring Shes Just Traditionally Feminine And Thats Ok. Her arc is one of my favorites

- ok this is less a hot take and more of an unpopular opinion but I didn’t like the newest adaptation. some of my reasons are petty (I cannot get behind blonde jo even tho saoirse is a great actress) but others not so much (e.g. the way it was told via flashbacks)
