Wednesday, January 22nd. It’s a Whimsical Wednesday and a busy one too. Back to work after not feeling so great. But happy to see my students and my friends again. Time is a strange thing, isn’t it ? When I look at this pic I don’t see ‘12yrs. ago’ But it was. So all kinds of self reflection came at me at a zillion miles an hour and I smiled, then I frowned, then I became curious, wondered and then I posted this pic. There’s 2 big details here and one of them is a microphone. Great tool if used sparingly. I couldn’t imagine prompting an audience with every track or doing a countdown during a build because I believe that the music I’m playing is incredible. Strong and awesome enough to keep you involved. I believe in you. I believe that you’re able to figure out when something’s about to drop and that me, giving you a few numbers before that happens, won’t enhance your live music experience. I think I’d have rested my headphones on some rock and walked away if I didn’t believe in you. Your quest for excellence on a dancefloor. I stress often over the pressure to deliver to you. I believe that you want the extraordinary and I’m doing my best, surrounding myself with those that are trying their best, to ensure my very best is coming at you.
