#gree event

The Gree event is on, so my brain decided I need that beautiful double-bladed saber. Ok, time to do some dailies, get in groups for heroics and -

Ugh. Right. How could I forget that people can’t just do their objectives. No, I understand what PvP means, but that’s not a reason to call people dumb for trying. You know, some people aren’t pvp gods.

Yep, I got killed by this very person. I wasn’t mad at all, more like “Happy now? You killed a noobie at PvP, what an achievement”.

KARMA BITCH!

I said I wasn’t mad, but it doesn’t mean I can’t be happy when that person didn’t get what they wanted either. Plus I wasn’t carrying an orb, so double vindication.

(On the other side, when I decided to kill the big droid in pvp zone there was one player who instead helped me kill it and then didn’t stay to defeat me. Some positivity :)

As tank let me just say--THESE EVENT BOSSES ARE TERRIFYING. 8) I mean, I felt much better once I knew I wasn’t going to fall through the invisible floor. D8 *sweats* But hhahhh ahhhah hhahhhhhhhh thhe finisher he tries at the end stage. He chompt my hit-points up like 2-bite brownies. . .

I guess eventually we’ll have to do these in non-story mode, just to see that we can.

(Also: the voice-over portion of this boss is quite entertaining. So worth it to experience.)

Random group up for Gree dailies with Meso-horni Bóóbs

Among other things I learned about the Gree event: it’s possible to solo the heroic mission! Pretty sure people did it before, but I only managed to solo it today. 

Had way less problems with surviving on fury marauder than lightning sorcerer, which is unusual for me. Probably it’s bc of the comp (lvl 21 on marauder and lvl 1 on sorcerer). And I noticed that ranged companion healed me better than melee comp (apparently, Gault is more capable of keeping me alive than Hexid).

I also tried to solo the heroic in pvp area (not pvp instance though). I couldn’t bring a companion, but mobs had lower health (pylon guardians had about 200k in pve area and around 70-80k in pvp area). I was on operative (usually it’s a healer but I changed discipline to concealment for the event), so I could heal myself and deal with mobs. Almost died, but finished without dying.

Of course, being lvl 75 and having 306 gear (plus offensive tacticals on sorcerer and marauder) helped a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t mind grouping with people for quests (since mostly people are nice there), just wanted to try it alone.

I thought I can’t do maths, but apparently it’s SWTOR who can’t do maths but in this case I’m glad it can’t. Or maybe I’m missing something  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, I remembered that there’s Gree event going on (after what, 5 months?) and that it has some neat armors and other rewards. I wanted to buy the Blue Scalene armor, but it required Friendly rank to purchase, so I started doing dailies and other missions to get as many reputation points as possible.

As you can see on screenshot above, I had 7218 points to gain to get to Friendly rank, and I could get no more than 7038 points because of weekly reputation restriction. I expected to almost get that rank and then do some more missions to get reputation rewards to use them later. Luckily I have enough characters on SS server to get much reputation, and I did almost all quests with reputation rewards (aside from the op). 

Dailies were easy enough, for heroics I had to wait for groups, but not too long, and they were no trouble as well. Also got the new quest that you have access to after getting Newcomer rank and buying a ... thing (idr what it’s called) that ends in really fun fight (Hexid died a lot), and the quest that sends you to 5 different planets (got lost on Tatooine and had to look for a guide for that quest, 3/10 would not recommend). And, the most surprising thing during the whole run, I got killed only once while doing quests in pvp instance! And I did even had the orb, what a miracle! (but tbh living 8-11 hours ahead of US while playing on US server helps a lot in this case)

Took me a while and 3 characters to get enough reputation (with one of them doing all the quests twice bc servers were reset), but, unexpectedly, I actually got Friendly rank and were able to buy this pretty armor! Worth it.

Didn't know that Gree event started today, decided to do it on 1, maybe 2 characters today. Big mistake - 90-95 people in one instance, around 40 in another, having to wait just to kill a couple of mobs or even start a heroic, and, of course, stealthers in PvP instance interrupting anyone who tries to bring orbs and then bragging about it in chat. Perhaps I should wait til Friday or something.

Every time the Gree event happens in swtor there's always this group of douchebag players who just sit around the pylon and pick people off who are just trying to do the two pvp missions.

I grouped up with one other person and because the group was so focused on killing me, they weren't able to stop the other player from completing the objective. They also tried to take us out among a group of NPC adds but I was able to keep us alive until we finished that mission too.

Super psyched! And if anyone wants to try for pvp dailies you can hmu. I'm on Star Forge and if you PM me I can give you my in game names and group and help keep everyone alive.
