More from my Green-centric story! I’m particularly proud of this scene.

“Okay. Cut it out with this ‘eldest’ bullshit; we’re all the same age!” Blue snapped.
“I’m still the l—”
“Yes,” Blue agreed. “You are the leader. In battle. On a quest. Not at home, where we can all rely on each other for support, where you should be able to fall back on us when you need help. You may be the leader, Green, but we’re still a team, did you forget that?”
Green said nothing. Red wondered if he truly had forgotten, so lost in leading and protecting as he was that he had missed the most important part of being a leader: relying on the team when things got too tough.
Vio seemed to come to the same conclusion, for his face fell, heartbreak drawing his lips down into a frown, knitting his brows together and leaving his eyes glistening. “Let us pick up some of the weight,” Vio said. “Let us support you, for once.”
“I—What?”
“What he’s saying is, you won’t be spending so much as a single rupee on this house for the next year,” Blue said.
“Maybe two,” Red added, thinking of all the money they had each saved, while Green struggled to keep so much as a red rupee despite how hard and often he worked. “And we’re telling Zelda to give you less shifts; you deserve to enjoy your life, Green! And relax!”
“What—No!” Green said. “But…” He faltered under their stern gazes, shrinking.
“‘But’?” Blue asked.
Green hesitated. “I… fine.” He sighed, looking downtrodden, where they expected he would be relieved to be freed from the burden.
“Hey,” Red said, nudging him in the side. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s always been my job to take care of you all,” Green murmured. “I don’t… What else am I supposed to do? Who am I… meant to be?”
Red’s heart sank. Green had spent so long caring for them, so long pushing himself to the edge for them, that he hadn’t had a chance to learn more about himself, about what he liked and hated, what he enjoyed doing in his spare time. He hadn’t had a moment to sit with himself and simply be. “You’re our brother, Green. And the rest… you can take your time and figure that out. We’ll be with you every step of the way, okay?”
Green sniffled, swiping at his eyes. “Okay.”
