Omfg dude, I was playing 1v1 commander right, and I thought I was chilling ok, he had 9 lands, his commander was zoned, he had NOTHING on the board except a card that copies spells he casts, powerful sure, but I couldn't get rid of it and well, even with that, ok, he was playing a blue white chun li deck, I had 10 mana, my commander out, like 8 creatures ready and buffed, I had an instant, I had 3 available mana, I passed the turn, I thought, no way he beats me in one turn, it'll take at least three for anything insane and by then I'll be able to recover. Bothers, sisters, gentlewizards... Tbf I was right. He didn't beat me in one turn. He beat me in 6. Not 6 turns later mind you, no, on that first turn he casted a card that gave him an extra turn. That got copied. Two extra turns. Then he had another card that gives 2 extra turns. Copy that 4, 6 total. Then he brings his commander, makes playable exiles of those cards. Total 12 turns. Oh and then his commander also got copied, which let him copy those again. 24 turns. Then he played a copier card and copied her again. 36 available turns. He returned all my cards to my hand one by one. He spent a good 30 minutes cycling cards and exiling my stuff. One guy came by, showed me a clip on his phone, said "this is him" it was dio from jjba "ZA WARUDO" stopping time. Eventually he just told me "you have nothing. You can't do anything. And I have many more turns left." And he was right. I had an empty board, and 3 lands. He had 14 lands, 5 creatures, not enough to kill me, but over the coming turns... He held out his hand and said good game. And then another guy came in and told me all excited "you just lost to 25 YEARS of experience". Yeah. Yeah I did.
I thought I had something going with my 11 mana turn 6, but I had no flying blockers and this fucker dealt me 43 flying damage in one turn.
I recently found an arcana where they play mtg on the island and I just won a game of magic for the first time!!! This is my winning board!
