((Oops, AU, if you're still doing these))
The elevator ride was long, silent, and awkward. You two are the only ones inside, standing side by side and staring straight ahead. Just play it cool Doze, Captain Halley's not so bad. But just the thought of being a criminal next to a law enforcement officer who could easily break you in half makes you nervous. You're anxious for the stop; just a few more floors and you two will go on your merry ways. And then the lights go out. The two of you barely have time to react before the elevator box skids to a stop, flying sparks audible from above you. Halley manages to keep his balance, but you're thrown right onto your rear and your head bounces off the wall. He asks if you're alright and offers to help you up, but seeing as it's pitch-black in there he has a bit of a hard time finding you. Your head is pounding, but you've had worse; the two of you grope around in the darkness until your hands connect, and he pulls you to your feet with a grunt. He radios for someone to send help, making the situation seem like it would all be over soon. He assures you of just that, telling you that it would only take a little while for someone to help you two out. Although you're a little nervous, you've come to the conclusion that Halley doesn't see you as much of a threat and therefore won't be as inclined to destroy you where you stand. Perhaps this waiting time won't be as nerve-wracking as you thought. At least, until a cable snaps. You scream the loudest, so you're not sure if he screamed as well or if he stone-faced the entire fall. The box careens down the shaft for maybe a few seconds before halting once more, but it felt like an eternity to the two startled and/or terrified men inside. You're both on the floor now, though he's not curled into a whimpering, trembling ball like you are. He hoists himself back to his feet, shaken, attempting to catch his breath before calling for assistance once more.He debates on helping you up once more before deciding to retake his position on the floor, trying to calm you down by reassuring that help is in fact on the way. You're scared; you don't want to die, and you tell him that. He shakes his head and insists that neither of you are going to die, that everything will be alright. He asks if you understand, and although you're terrified out of your mind you give him a small nod. You've got to man up Doze, and show him you can be strong. It takes a while of patient (though anxious) waiting before a rescue team finally breaks open the box, fishing the two of you out and taking you both to safety. After today, you figure taking the stairs isn't such an undesireable option anymore.--((sobs because i've had the hardest time ever trying to think of an au for them; i've wasted enough time on the 'oops' portion as it is 8') forgive me halleymun sdfghj if i ever think of something i'll write and post it as a gift just for you!!!))

If I could draw better, I’m sure it’d be even funnier.
Really? I think it's a masterpiece.

I’d rather you left. I’m sure the city would be glad too, they wouldn’t have to keep replacing every mirror you passed by.
Now Crowbar, don't be childish.
