I’m frustrated and I’m just going to say,

if you write a story and describe someone by their hair color and want to make up a word that ends with “-ette” please just don’t. Especially if the character is not a girl/woman. -ette is a feminine suffix for one thing. Secondly [color]ette just looks and sounds really clunky, especially since it doesn’t work logically, it’s brunette not brownette jegus. I cannot tell you the number of times I have closed out Miraculous Ladybug stories because someone describe Marinette as a “bluenette”.

This mini rant was brought to you by someone who just read someone repeatedly refer to Rantaro Amami as a “greenette”. I want to claw that memory out of my brain and punch a friggin wall. I’m so mad because it looked like it’d be an interesting story. I am so mad.
