//as you can see, I’m now working my way through my rather extensive backlog of RP replies. I’m probably going to have to stop soon because it’s 1:30am and I can’t go to bed at 4am like I did last night again. But anyway, I’m replying to things :p

Of course if you look at one of the threads and decide it’s just been too long between replies and you’ve lost interest, I understand. No hurt feelings, it’s my fault for being a slow-ass. One of my goals for 2017 is to not wait so long between replies...we’ll see how that goes.

13. got snowed in to a remote mountain cabin

It was sort of a romantic notion - being away from the world with your lover, surrounded by cold nature outside but warm and cozy inside, together. But the fact that they were, indeed, trapped sort of took the romantic haze off things.

“Alright, we still have cell reception but I’m not sure for how long,” Thorin remarked, returning from her inventory check. “We’ve got food and water for at least the next week. We still have blankets and firewood so…I think we’ll be okay. Does the radio work?”

“Yeah, well, most of these books don’t deal with triplets,” Thorin groaned, adjusting Thorvin more comfortablely against her left breast. “Just…just rock Frerin for a bit until Sorin or Thorvin’s done. I can’t feed them all at once. God, we might have to switch to formula but I can just hear my mother’s ranting now.”

She didn’t really find the need to dignify Legolas’ question with a response. Not when he spoke with that tone. She didn’t need to start another argument; he was gonna think whatever he wanted and Thorin wasn’t going to be able to change his mind. She knew from experience. 

“Perhaps,” she remarked instead, not even bothering to look up.

21. affectionate kiss

She’d missed him. Of course she did. He was her husband, she loved him. It was only naturally to miss his presence when he was gone. It wasn’t anything too bad; Thorin was still able to focus on her work and tasks for the day without focusing on the absence of Legolas. She was her own person before their marriage and she’d be her own person forever more.

But that didn’t stop the wide smile that graced her lips as Legolas returned. Pressing her lips to his for a few seconds, Thorin pulled back, grin still on her lips. “Welcome home.”

“Don’t you dare throw that snowba—goddammit!”

“Mom says you shouldn’t swear, Dad!” Torrun laughed, peeking up from behind the sanctuary of their snow fort. If there was one thing her brothers were good for, it was fighting. Even Sorin, though he was mostly preoccupied with making as many snowballs as he could, as quickly as he could.

“You get two more for that!” Frerin called, tossing another snowball in their father’s direction while Throvin threw one not a second later.
