Here Lies A Sane One

Ah, here’s the first of potentially many stories of GreenPip, my main dragon character in the secret world. I tried to hint at what faction she’s in in the story. Now, I guess I can finally properly explain GP’s background and so on. I will also be writing about my other characters too on AO3.

Favorite People

(A/N: this will contain slight spoilers to the main storyline. Nothing major though. It would be out of context sort of deal. )

“Even though she scold me when I got too close to the child, she’s one of my favs because hmm... I feel the most comfortable(?) around her... I hope she doesn’t leave or anything like that...”

“I love Mosul’s stories. I could sit and listen to him all day if I wanted to. I admit I enjoy listening stories of the past. Gives me some insight on the real past or something like that. It’s peaceful sitting with him on his bridge. In a way, he reminds me of my mom’s dad.”

“Do I need to explain these two? I mean, they’re both awesome kay? kay.”

“Andy must be protected at all cost and Moose is a badass. Oh, and very cute couple. I’m tempted to gave Andy some kittens.”

“And last but not least, the tumblr community! This is from eons ago at the faction photoshoot and where most of the other dragons passed out. And Xie, did you really think that you wouldn’t have your picture taken?”

GP’s Fashion Sense

is actually ‘decent’. But, hey it’s the secret world, hence the occasional ‘I’m tired and don’t care’ days. Or the classic bad taste in clothing. Also, she never takes off her hat and (recently) headphones unless she is sleeping at her apartment.

Mumbles “Shut up bro, I’m not the one who told dad that....Why would I tell him anything...”

(to be honest, I don’t really see GP wear really revealing clothes, but I have some for the next meetup or event or whatever.)

Day Six - Relationships

What are some of the most important relationships in your character’s life? Do they have a significant other? Are their parents super important to them? How do they feel about their handler and Faction Contacts? Who is their favorite NPC? Do they have enough friends, or are they a total workaholic? If your character had to have an NPC as a roommate, who would they pick?

This will be long, so yeah. Also, I’m totally behind on these.

GreenPip

GreenPip puts her nieces and nephews first always. Considering how life in the town is and the fact that 2 out of the 3 siblings she has are dead. She’s raising her twin nieces, Amanda and Aurora (Zora). GP has extreme levels of (unresolved) hate to her father. That will be explained on Day 11. She worries about her mom all the time. She gets along with her mom as long her dad is not around. Maura gets along with her sister (the alive one) well. She misses her brother and sister.

GP is wary of romantic relationships. She has only really seen very unhealthy relationships growing up and her early adulthood. Including the nasty aftermath. She sees the benefits, but it probably be a long time until she in one. I should mention she’s demisexual. In other words, no, she’s not in a relationship.

GP doesn’t have many or should I said she has no friends. It’s mostly she drops in randomly and leaves type of deal. She has lost most of her college friends due to BS and the shift in GP’s life.

Clelie

One of Clelie’s important relationships is her BFF Sayri. (Who I unfortunately don’t have picture of.) The two met in high school and the pair were inseparable. Well, until graduation. Sayri went off to college while Clelie lived on the streets. Since Clelie only had a little bit of money, she couldn’t really talk to Sayri. This went for a year and then a wild bee is swallowed. After this, Clelie’s life got better (money wise) and began to talk to Sayri again. Clelie had to be careful of what she said about her ‘job’ to Sayri and her sister. Clelie was surprised and relieved when she saw Sayri heading to the door and the guards knock her out. Well, at the knocking out part, she frowned because it hurts to be knocked out by those guards. She was glad because she wasn’t able to contact Sayri for a week. (Later, Sayri told Clelie that her phone melted because of her lack of control of her powers.) After much catching up and long explanations on Clelie’s part, the duo are now fighting the unknown together.

The other important person in Clelie’s life is her sister. Clelie is protective of her sister for reasons that should be obvious. She tries to give advice to her sister with little success. But Clelie cares about her sister a lot, hurt her sister and all hell will break loose.

Clelie has a very, very bad relationship with her parents. They disowned her. More details on this later. But it shows how bad it is.

Rytta

Rytta is close to her parents, since she is their only child. She gets babied a lot which is annoying to her because all the things she does for the templars. 

She is close to her cousins who one way or another are a part of the secret world. She is the closer to one cousin who is in ways a wraith/spectre exorcist. However, she has not been able to contact him for a while. The cousin who Rytta first talked to is a part of the council.

She likes talking to Sonnac. She usually has a quote from a play or similar in her report most of the time.

Rytta doesn’t have many friends, she is a busy person.

Day Five - Leader for a Day

Describe what your character’s reaction to being told they were in charge of the entirety of their faction for a single day. What would they do? Would the power go to their head, or would the end of the day be a complete relief?

GreenPip      

GP would most likely fuck up the operation. She tried to maintain the normal things, but basically she doesn’t know what she’s doing. Probably ‘listen’ to the child. Or look at the models if she can. Most likely got blocked by the monks. She would be glad when the day is over.

Clelie

Clelie should not have power. She would cause so many problems and power would go to her head. She would feel good that she’s in charge, then someone else for once. She would not get power like that again.

Rytta

Rytta would clean through the system. As in rearranging people ranks that matches their skill level not on status. Although it would be back to normal the next day, Rytta wants the snobs the taste of their own medicine briefly.

In conclusion for all three, only Rytta would be a good leader. GP and Clelie would not handle it well.

Day Four - Getting the Bee

When did your character get their bee? What happened? Did they destroy their apartment? Did they go on the run before being recruited by their faction? Were they already in their faction?  Did they start having crazy dreams, or was their reaction just a simple midnight raiding of the fridge?

GreenPip

She was outside near her apartment when she swallowed the bee. She didn’t think much of it since she was cutting some leaves because she was bored and wanted to examine them. As the day process, she received headaches and felt dizzy. By the time she sat down and examined the leaf, she saw yellow honeycomb shapes on it.

She resigned her self to bed and to ‘sleep it off’. Oh dear. She got the dream and when she woke up, she knew she was fucked. The week was spent with her trying not to destroy her apartment and not get kicked out. Fortunately (or unfortunately) her landlord ignored the noise and most likely assumed that GP’s ‘talent’ has gone hay wired. 

To end this, the first two recruiters came and went. They were ignored. GP just answer the door on the last one, the Dragon. She doesn’t regret her choice. However she would like to not be kidnapped tho. 

Clelie

She was in a tree in a empty park in New York minding her own business. She was asleep and didn’t fall when she swallowed the bee. She fell out when she woke up and a cop was nearby. 

Cue the running away scene due to her not wanting to talk to the police and she did something else wrong, but there’s for later.

After a week of blowing shit up and the like. She didn’t actually have a recruiter, she figure it out with the help of the laundry mat guy. She was accepted because of her powers (duh). The Illuminati did their magic of getting the police off her back.

Rytta

The scene in game is pretty much how Rytta got the bee. 

She was just at home sleeping until she was rudely awaken by choking on a bee. The weird dream came and went. 

After a few days and somewhat have her powers under control, she called one of her cousins for help since there’s a chance that they may know something. 

Luckily, one cousin in Italy knew exactly what to do and told her to wait for the recruiters. Rytta is confused by this until a knock with three people behind it.

She chose the red one.

Journal Entry #2

I have concluded several things about the last few weeks or should I say months.

I like falling off cliffs… a lot

Magic Swords from unknown places are a nuisance. They attract magic assholes.

Ak’ab still is a pain

but most insects I counter with this job are nasty

I don’t tan, I just burn

Also I’m reminded that I survive best in cool weather, not the scorning heat.

Filth is an experiment gone wrong.

One that I (a biologist) don’t want to deal with but must.

Haunted places still hate me.

The dream is something that I’m nervous about.

Golems are a pain to kill.

I still fucked shit up unintentionally (as predicted)  

My running has improved

Sister is out of the hospital

I suck at keeping up with journal entries

Might just list/ easier to do

Haven’t done dungeons at all...It bothers me

Saw purple, had to work with Tanis… sort of?

Saïd is cool

But Nassir is awesome. He’s actually amusing.

I took some wrong turns in Agarta, I saw the Gatekeeper and ran.

My curiosity is my doom

Boss, did you purposely sent me on that mission so you can be amused at my horror inside the asylum?

Seriously Cults? And I thought the one near home was bad.

Eyesight is still shit and the sand is not helping.

It strangely got easier to fight the mob near the Marya camp.

Venice is slow as hell.

Orochi are still unknown to me, info wise. Don’t trust them.

Casper and Eli are getting nosy about Bro’s death

That’s something I DON’T want to explain.

Jack-ass ex brother in law still thinks he is an awesome father.

He lost custody years ago by me. Ha

He doesn’t come to see them. Too busy partying with blue ‘co-workers’

And yet I will have to deal with him for the rest of my immortal life cause he is immortal too.

God damn it

Journal Entry #1

Valentine's day

I hate Valentine’s Day. There’s more factors in why I hate valentine’s day and it’s not just all the couples and love stuff. It reminds me of all the awful things that some kids did on that like sending fake love letters and then pranked on the unfortunate victim. I was a target of those pranks in general. I guess I was an ‘easy target’ since people thought I was just like my brother. Sure, in appearance, we were the most similar out of the four, but personality wise not so much. He was the classic bad boy and a troublemaker. He was the ‘trouble’ magnet out of the four.

On Valentine’s day, it’s also the day my parents ask about my non-existent love life. Let’s get real, dealing with secrets for a living doesn’t usually found love in the mix. I could just not go home and continue working in Kingsmouth…However I get to see my nieces and nephews so…

You could say my nieces and nephews are my weakness. I mean I literally drop everything I’m doing to help/take care of them. I have stopped fighting a monster to answer a call from one of them. I see them because I’m really the only person that they have that somewhat understand what they are going through. Or about to go through. They have been cursed since they live in a town full of ‘since your blah blah’s kid, we will assume you’re going to be like them’ bullshit. I’m not saying my parents are bad, it’s just…. They are the same way. Well, my mom is probably the least judgemental person in the family. My father on the other hand….. That will be expressed in a later journal entry. 

I have swayed off topic. To sum it up, I go for the kids, not for my parents, well at least my dad anyways.

As I guess correctly like every year, they were mildly disappointed at my lack of love life. My father accused me of being a workaholic. Hypocrite as always. My mom was however happy at the fact I actually ‘socialize’ with my ‘co workers’. I was awkward as hell at that photo shoot. I was not paying attention and when I return mentally, everyone was dancing. As you can imagine, I was confused. I didn’t say that to my mom, of course. 

That aside, I spent time with my twin nieces, Amanda and Aurora (or Zora), and listened to them about school and drama. I also spent time with the younger ones, Lucie (six), Brant (five), and the youngest Linn (four). My ten year old nephew, Jaydan, was hiding in the attic as it is his getaway from my father. I went up there to get him after my father left to go to the bar. Jaydan hates my father, it’s understandable. The way he treats my mother is sick. It’s Valentine’s Day and yet he didn’t do a thing ‘romantic’ to her again. I guess I hate Valentine’s day because I’m reminded of all the failed relationships in my family and how bitter it can get. Jaydan can see it, the coldness of their relationship. I have seen it a long time ago, I’m just waiting for the snap to happen for 16 years now. I thought it would happen when my brother became a parent at 18 when I was 10. Instead, they stayed together for the grandkids. They stay together for the family.

Hmm, speaking of which I didn’t see my two oldest nephews, Casper and Eli, until very late. By then, everyone was asleep, my father was still at the bar, and I was on the couch waiting for them. Most of my nieces and nephews live at my parent’s house for reasons that will need multiple journal entries to explain. I guess I spaced out again because I didn’t hear my nephews coming in. When I did notice them, they were trying to hide the marks on their necks. I laughed softly at them as I said “I see you two had fun.” Eli was as bright as a tomato. Casper tried to keep his cool, but I could see the blush on his face. There was a small groan of “Auntie M”. I briefly talked to them and hugged them goodbye.

Now, in my apartment as I feel tired and a tad annoyed by the ‘noise’ next door, I noticed that this journal entry is a bit negative. I guess whenever I write about my family, it goes that way. Or it’s one of the days I hate. However, I also noticed that nothing ‘disastrous’ happened.

I am going to stop here. I have to get ready to fight ak’ab and deal with Franklin’s haunted mansion. Whoopee Doo.
