Stage concept - Pumperfish Hydronics

The weapon lab is proud to present: Pumperfish Hydronics! Located in the southwest of the Splatlands, this hydroplant has gone through a lot of work and modernization, being established all the way back in 1946 and is still going! Now owned by NEO this space has now been renovated for turf wars.

The little grates and pipes you see with arrows can be swam through in order to fast travel to different parts of the map. (except for the rainmaker; the rainmaker cannot travel through small grates) You can even use the big grates to warp to a completely separate island! Although this island is under strict maintenance and all access to it will be closed off during the last 60 seconds of a turf war, with a jump pad appearing for any left behind on it! The island will be full accessible throughout the match in every other ranked mode.

The Squazzer

Weapon concept brought to you by Foil

This weapon is a modified caulk gun with a large solid cylinder of caulk that is user’s ink color. It has a high rate of fire, the range of a splattershot pro, and does 31 damage per hit.

Instead of getting less accurate as it fires like the squeezer, it gets more accurate as it continues to fire. How this works is that when first fired it has low accuracy. As the ZR button is held down, the accuracy gets better while the fire rate, range, and damage stays the same. The main appeal of this weapon is that it’s range is very long no matter whether how precise your accuracy is as well as it always being a 3 shot kill no matter the firing mode.

The ultrasurge blaster

Weapon concept

This blaster is made out of machines and objects made for channeling and storing electricity. The barrel is replaced with a golden spire with an orb on the end with rings floating around it like a 60’s ray gun. The main body of the blaster is a matte black miniature power generator, the generator is fairly standard looking with some knobs and gauges to measure power as well as having some tesla coils that spark electricity between each other whenever the blaster fires for some extra flair. The canister on the back is replaced with a large battery, connected to the blaster by a power cord.

This blaster is on the slower side of most blasters. With a high delay between shots and guzzling a lot of ink. It’s range is a bit better than the regular blaster but isn’t as long as the range blaster. This blaster’s main feature is that it electrifies the user’s ink. When a pool of the user’s ink is shot directly or gets indirectly hit by its explosion all ally ink that is connected to the initial impact spot flashes with light and then gets electrified. Any enemy’s standing in your ink as it’s electrified get hit with 50 damage instantly. If they see the ink glowing they may be able to avoid electrocution by jumping while it discharges. Although the timing for this is tricky since enemy ink reduces your jump height. While this zap is dangerous, it cannot kill, stopping at 99 damage. This electrification effect can also effect toxic mist, electrifying the mist to make it also do 50 damage to anyone standing in it.

The splatana trimmer

Weapon description

This splatana is a long lawn trimmer with a spinning blade at the very end. It’s very long with the melee range of a splattershot jr. Although the projectile it fires with its horizontal slash is a bit shorter range combined with the initial range of the slash it gives it the effective range of a splattershot Pro. Any melee hits do 65 damage and a projectile does 40 damage, although unlike other splatanas since the projectile fires from the blade at the tip it’s hard to hit both the projectile and the the blade at once. But if you do get that sweet spot at the tip of the splatana a horizontal slash can be a one hit kill doing 105 damage with one hit. The horizontal slash speed is fairly slow, being on par with the splatana stamper.

It’s charge slash is a bit different to most splatanas. When you hold down ZR your inkling holds out the weapon like a fencer holding the rapier, in a straight line parallel to the floor below them. When ZR is released they jab the splatana forward with extreme force doing 150 damage. A charge jab also sends out a projectile that goes at the range of an e-liter but it’s fairly slow so good luck hitting anyone at a super long range. The charge jab projectile does 50 damage.

The charge hammer

Weapon concept

This charger is a repurposed jackhammer with the actual hammer pole that pounds the ground being removed and replaced with a long barrel for ink to be shot out of. This charger has two firing modes represented by the charging circle filling up once for the first mode and the filling up again for the second mode. The first mode represented by the first wheel of charge is tap fire mode. This charger has the fasted tap shot fire rate of any charger with the first circle having a bit less range than a bambboozler and 80 damage maximum at full charge of the first circle and a minimum of 45 damage per uncharged tap shot. The first circle takes 0.33 seconds to fully charge (same as bamboo.) If you choose to charge past the first circle it switches into long range mode, gaining the range of a splat charger. At full charge it does 250 damage and at half of the second circle it does 108 damage. It takes 1.5 seconds to get to a full charge (e-liter charge time) and it takes 1.1 seconds to get to a 100 damage charge.

The splattershot mini

This splattershot is based off of that one Splatoon mini splattershot toy that was sold in stores. This is the first ever weapon that is held with one hand instead of two. This allows for very high mobility, making the splat mini the first ever ultra lightweight weapon. An ultra lightweight weapon gives you the base mobility of one main of run speed, two mains of swim speed, and one main and one sub of intensify action on a regular lightweight weapon, as well as some additional jump height. But for this mobility it sacrifices range, and paint. It has the range of the splattershot junior but with the accuracy of the splattershot, it only paints at the users feet and where they’re aiming and nowhere in between.

The Splatana Flare Driver

This splatana is a hair driver that constantly emits a flame made out of ink that it swipes to splat its opponents. As cool as this flame is, it means that individual slashes will not create projectiles. It’s a bit faster than main splatana and does 77 damage on hit but as said it has no projectiles when it slashes. When you charge it by holding ZR instead of doing a powerful slash when fully charged, it automatically stops charging and increases the size of your flame on your Flare Driver for 15 seconds or until you slash three times. You can charge up your Driver a total of four times, each one taking longer to build up and creating a longer range and more lasting flame. (1st charge takes 1 second and lasts 15 seconds or for 3 slashes, the 2nd taking 5 seconds and lasting 20 seconds or for 6 slashes, the 3rd charge takes 7 seconds and lasts 45 seconds or for 8 slashes, and the fourth charge does something special.) On the 4th charge (that takes a whopping 15 seconds to build up and only lasts five seconds) you can only slash once. But this slash is highly powerful. When you slash with a fourth charge your inkling jumps in the air and create a bunch of lingering mid air smashes that they aim their Driver at and fire an exploding shot that sends the slashes forward at the speed of a wiper projectile. If an enemy is hit while the player is creating these slashes the get dealt 280 damage, if they are hit by the exploding shot that sends the slashes forward they are dealt 56 damage, if they are hit with the slashes themselves they are dealt 78-110 damage depending on how close to the center of the slash they are.

The origami brella

This brella is tightly folded origami that unfolds into an elaborately shaped canopy when deployed. This brella is quite literally paper thin and only has 100 hp, although, the canopy regenerates in half a second. You can deploy the canopy but it will break before it goes far.
