Vada grew up in the foster care system. She never had a set family or was adopted but she hoped for it everyday, until her moving around became more frequent. Vada began noticing things about herself as she grew and soon discovered her magic and what she was capable of. With people she considered friends to guide her, Vada set off on a journey in her teenage years to find out just exactly what she was capable of and how useful it would be.
When she was eighteen, she joined a coven and became one of it’s most promising followers. Little did she realize it was more than just a coven. The leader was a controlling man and manipulative as they could come. Vada and so many others fell for it. With the occasional freedoms they were granted, Vada met Alden Michaels. A man she didn’t expect to make such a difference in her life but when he did, he did.
Alden was one source that got Vada looking at what she was into differently, and they definitely didn’t appreciate it.
She never expected to be dragged out of bed in the middle of the night by a group of the followers. Vada was carried into a chamber and tied to a table left alone to whatever happened, at least she thought she was alone. She could feel the eyes watching her though, it felt like hundreds, maybe even thousands that just stood there as their leader punished her for what she had been doing away from the coven. After sexually assaulting her and freeing her from the restraints to gather herself and give her some sense of it all being over, she was pulled back down and three slashes were placed diagonal across her chest.
Vada didn’t attempt to remember it though when she woke up in a hospital bed and only Alden to call. Everything she had was left there, unable to go back and get it for fear of what else might happen.
The family she thought she had found turned on her but luckily she found new people to trust. Marmie took Vada under her wing and apprenticed her through midwifery, giving her a stable means of leaving. Alden, who eventually became the father of her daughter, Remi. Vada was enjoying life once more and had even mastered some of her gifts and began working on others. Teaching Remi about them as she grew up. Now living with Alden in the realm of King’s Hill and their two daughters, Remi and Maisie, life is finally looking up for the moment.
