SEND 🤕 TO BE BY RECEIVERS BEDSIDE WHEN THEY WAKE UP FROM A COMA.
FOR WHAT IT’S worth, Superfly did not experience the several WEEKS he’d been out in the same ways that those around him had. While the duration was no down PAINSTAKING for everyone else, it felt like time barely passed at all for him. One moment he was laid down on the floor of a speeding vehicle, barely awake, bleeding and dying; he was told that they would get him to the medbay ASAP and then just like that, he slipped out of consciousness.
The next moment ? His eyes cracked open only to be immediately blinded by the light of the room ( not even a bright light, mind. Goes to show how severely unadjusted to the light they were ). He’d tiredly mumbled something to the gecko that’d been chattering away at his side ( some retort to some criticism he’d said about a movie ‘Fly liked, as funny as that was ), then next thing he knew, his babyest brother was fleeing the room to go alert the others to the first bit of activity, the first PROOF OF LIFE the fly mutant had given since the night he’d fought Manray.
It took him a hot second to really wake up; his eyes were most definitely sore and straining, but he could eventually pry them open. He did attempt to move, but swiftly gave up on that idea; if the pain that shot straight through his cracked, scarred and bandaged body wasn’t enough of a deterrence, the fact that he was certainly still weak from weeks of inactivity sure did it. Still, he was AWAKE. Groggy and sore, but AWAKE and alive.
He eventually hears someone walk in ( and quickly figures he ought to get used to that; safe to assume he’ll be getting a sudden spike in visitors in the near future ), and his antenna twitches. At most, he’s able to turn his head in the door’s direction, his neck only giving minimal protest. As soon as he spots Cleo entering, his lips curl upwards in a weak, exhausted smile.
