gregg ate the company casserole and said "i didn't realize i wanted something exactly like this until it was finally in front of me". healing the bitter yankee soul one well seasoned poverty dish at a time.

gregg talks to himself in a Kermit voice when he thinks i can't hear, and just now a very quiet and pleased "hi ho" came from the other room and i have to not laugh in delight because then there might not be anymore spontaneous, earnest Kermit utterances. and i can't have that.

gregg came home bearing wool gifts, immediately started helping around the house (i need a full day to recover from travel myself, but i guess he is built different) made breakfast this morning, and then bought me a deep tissue massage because i "seemed kinda stressed". few are doing it like gregg.

being in a healthy relationship is cool because your friends see you express the same level of love and attraction toward your partner over 6 years without waning, see all the small and considerate ways the two of you express your love and take care of each other, and slowly start to realize how miserable they are with their terrible boyfriend you've always kind of hated. then the problem just takes care of itself.
